Planet Hollywood Cancun Adult Scene is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse entertainment options, although guests would appreciate a wider range of music and quieter spaces. The hotel's amenities, including a variety of dining choices and entertainment, receive high marks, despite some additional charges.
While the Star Class upgrades are seen as valuable for their exclusive benefits, opinions are mixed on the overall cost value due to extra charges for certain activities. Guests commend the professional service and cleanliness, but some have noted room service inconsistencies and room issues such as soundproofing and dampness.

Overall we had a great time at this resort! The staff interaction we had with Rogelio, the adult pool attendant, and Marco, a Star Class attendant made up for the few kinks we experienced. These 2 staff in particular went OVER AND BEYOND to make sure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Very thankful for them! Our first kink was the inability for the resort to place us next to the other couple we were traveling with despite that request being made at the time of booking and both booking swim out rooms with the hopes of being able to utilize them in that capacity. My husband and I were also celebrating our 4th anniversary, but a room with 2 beds, rather than a king bed requested at the time of booking months in advance was only available. Nothing that ruined our vacation by any means, just odd these accommodations couldn't be met as I had never experienced that with any other resort. The timeliness of response from the personal assistant you text with Star Class could also be improved, which is one reason we were so very thankful for Marco's personal service. Speciality restaurants such as the Brazilian grill still need some organization. Service was slow and chicken served was undercooked. Shows at night were nice and all the grounds, pools, and beach area were all very well-maintained and beautiful! There were plenty of food options and staff all worked very hard to make your experience enjoyable. We had no trouble with check in/out or the Covid Testing. Staff were great about wearing their masks and taking guests temperatures and applying hand sanitizer. With some time the minor issues we experienced i have no doubt will be worked out.

We recently stayed at Planet Hollywood Adult Scene for our honeymoon. It was amazing. The rooms are quite clean, well thought out, and have a lot of great services. A closet for each guest with drawers in each, with little benches and shoe rack below, the bathrooms have lots of shelving to store your items, a patio rail to dry your bathing suits, a cute little desk, and a couch to relax in. The fridge is always well stocked with beer, water, and pop. We used the bottled water to brush our teeth (to avoid any stomach issues). The bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer, sanitizer, lotion, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Loved our room. (Just a note, the doors slam quite hard and you will hear this from other rooms.) Let's get to the food. Delightfully pleased with all the different restaurants and food choices available. Different cuisines with great options. The house wines are quite delicious and pour freely throughout your meals. I recommend tipping for better service. Also, room service is free although can take time so order in advance. There are a lot of opportunities to upgrade during your stay. For example, the spa is at a cost, a private cabana with a personal server and food (totally worth it) has a cost, upgrading your meals has a cost, etc. While they will try to get you to purchase a package to include points for each upgrade, we found we saved money just doing the ones we wanted. The stores are great for purchasing souvenirs and priced well. We were well taken care of and will definitely return again.

Overall I had a great time at this hotel. Starting with the positives: The hotel staff was always very nice and attentive. The waiter/waitresses did a great job at always floating around your table. Even when dishes and drinks came wrong or "off," the staff did a great job at replacing them. During our visit to Guy's Burgers, a drunk dude dropped his tray and the staff did a really good job of quickly replacing it and cleaning up the aftermath. The bar drinks were delicious. My brother spent the trips ordering a very specific cocktail and the bartenders were always open to making sure they understood what he was looking for. My two favorite bartenders were Eduardo and the one woman who worked the adult scene bar. The hotel grounds were very clean, with not much litter in sight. Whenever I had questions or needed help I could always go down to the front desk and Agni was there to assist, shout out for understanding my broken Spanish. The party atmosphere was all around the hotel. During the day the pool on the adult side was lively with music and activities. At night we would go over to the sports bar for karaoke.
Negatives: The hotel might be the furthest north in Cancun, so it's a car trip to get anywhere. That part is very unfortunate since we met friends who were staying in the hotel zone. Once you get to this hotel it has all the amenities you need, but that means you basically don't leave. Secondly, the bars and restaurants were very packed at times. They should stay open longer so that people have more options instead of packing into the few that are open at a time. Thirdly, after 11 pm there are very few options for food, a convenience store or vending machine would be super helpful for late-night drunk bites.
Otherwise, I had a great time, and if I'm looking to lounge on a beach and have all of my needs taken care of, then I'll definitely be back.

We were excited to see this new all inclusive resort come up in 2021 for our first time in Cancun. The resort is still going through its construction but looks amazing. The overall staff of waiters, drink servers, bartenders, bottle servers were all friendly but the food (in all restaurants that you place an order for took way too long. You have to plan ahead for your next meal, like an hour ahead. The Italian and Steak house restaurants took 2hrs for dinner from the time we sat to the time we got dessert. The pool area has a pizza and burger spot both took (mutiple days) an hr to receive our order. The room service food could use some improvements in the quality and delivery (takes an hr to get and fries are cold when you get them). We stayed in the Star class area on the 2nd floor, during our stay it had rained and several of the ceiling walls were leaking and pieces were falling down that they were constantly repairing.
In the room fridge there is only 4 beers stocked up at a time each day. Would love to see more and provide wine for us ladies who dont drink beer. There's diet, reg coke, sprite, reg water and would be great to have a sparkling water option. There's not many hangers for clothes and we stayed 9days so at least 10 per closest would have been helpful. Our room didnt come with liquor even though there's a liquor cabinet in the room, its an extra charge when a few other all inclusive places we've been to had a full bar/stocked fridge that was included.
Not sure there is much value in booking "Star Class", outside of the lounge where you get to eat apps have access to wine/champagne and the same option fridge you have in your room to drink, and adult pool. Majority of our time was spent in the lazy river (awesome area with a cool cave bar), beach, or at a cabana (which we paid extra for).
The beach was beautiful but there's a ton of seaweeds that float the beach and roll up onto the shore that the staff is consistently digging huge holes along the beach to rake burry them.
A suggestion for Planet Hollywood for the food would be to serve a buffet from 9am-4pm along the beach in the bar casita areas so that folks have access to food on the hr. This would free up the pizza and burger joints to not be bombarded by orders and be backed up.

Room: we were staying in room 12203 which was dirty. The floors were never cleaned all the time we were there and on 3 occasions we had to request that the bed sheets were changed and that we had fresh towels. Once the room was made up we then put the do not disturb sign on the door to stop the cleaners coming in to our room again which was completely ignored as they came back in to the room to do a turn down service!
The bathroom was never cleaned properly and there was black mould on the walls and shower seat and all around the shower area.
Corridors Leading to rooms: These floors we not cleaned once in the 2 weeks we stayed. Both of these points were raised to guest services which were completely ignored.
Adults Scene pool area: We complained to the Hotel that there was no food available at lunchtime. They stated that there was food available by either going to catch restaurant in the adults only area which was a seated menu option only (no buffet) or we could go back to our room and order room service which would take 40-50 mins. Alternatively we could go to the buffet which is at the far side of the family section which kind of defeats the object of going adults only! This was also only accessible by either walking along the beach or going up to the main restaurant area and walking around which would take about 15 mins. There was a shorter more direct route which was accessible through the star class area but the signs said we were not allowed to go through the star class area as we were not star class guests. They did however put on a food truck for a few days after our complaint which consisted of Tacos, Guacamole, Rice and Beans which is hardly 5 star luxury food. There was no where you could get snacks or a salad unless you kept going over to the family section
Apart from the lack of food you had trollies full of ice, towels, food for star class guests, alcohol and equipment constantly coming past your sun bed. I counted 45 on one day but that was the day we got food so I suppose I had better be grateful for small mercies.
At 1pm every day the poolside disco would start blasting tunes at you which is great if your in your 20s. Music was that loud on some days you could not have a conversation unless you shouted.
Adults Bar: Shut at 9pm then the only place you could get a drink is to go in to the main entertainment area in the family section!
Restaurants: In the main the food was good in all of these restaurants if you managed to get in. They took away reservations in favour of a first come first served basis unless you were star class and then their butlers would make a reservation. So if you didn’t have a reservation you took your chances and they gave you a buzzer which would let you know when your table was ready….usually around 40-60 mins after you originally wanted it!
I am sure that they have this place nailed for families and Star Class but unfortunately they are sadly lacking badly in the adults only area's

These were the worst vacations I have ever had with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary, Room 12201 May 27 to 31 May the hotel reception staff was not very welcome, we requested to the hotel that we were going on our anniversary, no details or the extra pillowcases that we requested, every day a huge tractor (hired by the hotel) would pass from 10am to 1pm cleaning the beach, we could not enjoy the beach, it lifted the sand and the smell of gasoline combustion (we asked the hotel to do it early in the morning or at the end of the afternoon, they ignore us), the drinks were of poor quality for using cheap brands because we did not have the Star bracelet upgrade, the employees seeing that I did not have this star bracelet treated you as a second guest class, we could not be in the pool either since it was a spring break (every days) , everyone was drunk, where with the music of the DJ at high volume the women guests did indecent and erotic dances, there are no security personnel or managers in the pool and in the other parts of the hotel.
To complete, for two consecutive days, the electricity in the hotel was gone for several hours, everything stopped working, including the water, the hotel does not have an electric plant for those emergencies.
I tried several times to say all these complaints to the hotel managers, none of them wanted to attend to me, only the customer service staff but they are not qualified to solve these problems (I have photos and videos of these complaints).

The adult experience is not exactly entirely an adult experience. There are just a couple restaurants that are "adults only" but we found an occasional child in there. All other restaurants are located in common areas with PLENTY of children around. Don't think that I'm hating on children but we booked this to be an all adult vacation and paid good money for that experience but we were greeted with several screaming kids and more of a family friendly atmosphere.
Otherwise, the resort is beautiful. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. One staff member that I thought did an amazing job was Pita at the Twist Social bar... he is very friendly, took good care of me and every time I came to him for a beverage he remembered exactly what I was drinking...Pita was always moving and taking care of business!
Our room was very nice, walked in to PH projected on the floor, everything was very clean and bright, we had a swim out suite that we could walk right from inside our room into a private "lagoon" shared by just a couple rooms but had its own "deck" right in the water.
We stayed Sunday- Friday and for the most part everything was quiet when we were ready to crash until Thursday evening, you could hear people telling in the hallway and doors slamming nearly all night and made for a poor night's sleep on our last night.
All in all, if I had a kid or 2 to bring here, it's a lot of fun with the water park and many activities but just not exactly what we pictured when we booked the adult scene. There were a lot of food options and a lot of it was decent but kind of typical for an all inclusive resort. Guy Fieri would be disappointed if he saw my cheddar bacon BBQ burger with about 1/3 of a slice of cheddar cheese on it. Our best meal here was a pizza from Gusto to go and the spaghetti from room service

I wish I could give PH 5 stars, but the mosquitoes were a big problem. They were everywhere, in the rooms, bathrooms, open-air restaurants, lobby, etc. bring mosquito repellant! I cannot stress this enough!
You won't receive a key card for your room, but rather a bracelet with a chip (reader), which is very convenient. BUT, they are not secured very well and fall off quite easily. Don't lose it!! You will be charged $95 USD, if you do. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of restaurant options, bars, pools chairs/umbrellas, servers, and shopping.
The breakfast buffet at the Sol Cal Gourmet Emporium was outstanding, with multiple omelet stations, a crepe station, smoothie station where you can have custom smoothies blended, along with a lot of other food options.
PH staff does an outstanding job maintaining the cleanliness of the property, especially the pool areas. KUDOS to the cleaners and servers, they were great. Masks are required in public areas (not pools) and temperatures are taken at all restaurants prior to entering.
If you prefer your own private swim out pool to enjoy after the main pools close, I would definitely recommend upgrading to Star Class at the time of booking. They sell out quickly.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience, but I have to warn you about the mosquitoes one last time:)

Overall a bad experience, I understand the hotel is new, however due to several concerns we will not be returning. We went for our 16th Wedding Anniversary and the first night there was a bar fight and everything closed down subsequently shortly after. The food was mediocre at best at the SoCal Buffet, other restaurants were good, but limited breakfast and lunch options. We encountered issues with shortage of towels and guest services repeatedly being contacted without bringing requested towels to the room. We had an issue at the Adult Scene pool in which the poolside waiter was very rude and after several requests for drinks were made, no drinks ever came, My wife spoke to the bar manager and nothing was resolved, after ordering the drinks from him, nothing came. . I had made a reservation for a "Romantic Dinner" for our Anniversary in which I was promised dinner on the beach with candles, rose petals, steak, lobster, and a bottle of Moet Champagne and when we showed up for dinner, nothing was arranged. We had to wait another 30-45 minutes for the staff to contact the manager to determine what could be done. The restaurant manager rudely gave us the option to have our "Romantic Dinner" in a private room at a table that seated about 10 people, but the price would be the same as the scenic option on the beach. This was an unfair compromise, turning our intimate, romantic dinner into a unforeseen disaster. The staff put old, withered rose petals with minimal electric candles and the promised champagne bottle that was supposed to be "covered", had to be paid for. The waiter never brought us a menu and we guessed our options out of a game of questions and answers. They were simply not prepared for our romantic dinner. The only positive notes are that the lunch at The Catch was fantastic, most of the staff were friendly and nice people. David at the Adult Scene bar was amazing, Enrique and Paulina from the management staff were very helpful but too much had gone wrong for any positivity from our experiences. We truly had higher expectations for the Planet Hollywood brand and were looking forward to coming back with our children, however the experience we had will force us to go elsewhere for our next trip to Cancun. The hotel could possibly have potential, however some of the staff need service education and improved customer service skills. This is our honest opinion of our experience and hope that the staff can take note of our experience and improve.

Returned 26th July after a 2 week stay in the adult scene not star class.
Flight from Sheffield went smoothly, around an hour getting through customs and getting luggage at Cancun airport, transport to hotel around 45 mins.
Hector greeted us on arrival and took us to the adult scene we had drinks whilst checking in no queue, he then took us and our luggage to our rooms and demonstrated the tv etc in the room
We had reserved 2 rooms in February via the Planet Hollywood website and received the ones we had chosen, building 16 on the 5th floor. We took 4 damp rid bags, 2 for each week in each wardrobe, they did fill up but the room didn’t feel damp and was cleaned and stocked on arrival.
We had no problem getting sun loungers each morning around the adult pool near the jacuzzi pool service was excellent and we were looked after by Jesus and week 2 Mildred. They were attentive and friendly.
The pool could get a little dirty where the scurf gathered at the sides but it was cleaned daily and with so many people using it it probably was to be expected.
The pool and beach bar staff were working hard to serve everyone quickly and we never had a problem when we went to get a drink.
We ate breakfast daily at Braza and the staff were simply amazing in both adult scene restaurants, we ate lunch occasionally at Catch and visited both numerous times during the 2 weeks in the evening, little wait and always greeted by welcome Cash Family. They were all excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
When we ventured to the family side, which we did find it busy and we had difficulty getting into the restaurants, one evening we waited 2 hours to eat at the Indian and the next time got a table at 6pm. The food and service was excellent and we couldn’t fault it the disappointment is in not being able to eat at the steak and Mexican as we like to eat around 7.30 - 8 and this wasn’t available. We did get into the Italian one evening straight away and would say the food and service were average.
We ate in the buffet twice, the food was good but the drinks service slow.
The beach is beautiful, the adult bar quiet with great drinks and service.
Guys burger bar delivers great burgers for lunch and we waited around 30-45 mins for lunch but it was well worth it.
The lazy river was a nice change, not enough rings though and the sides got littered with empty cups in the afternoon from the bar.
Overall we felt staying in adult side improved our holiday experience and we would like to thank all the staff working in that area.
Improvements need to be made to the restaurant reservation system for us to think about returning as we booked to take advantage of the speciality restaurants and didn’t want to eat at 6 or 9.30. We didn’t feel the amount you pay for star class just to book restaurants was worth it as everything else was lovely.
