Four adults and one toddler visited for Sunday lunch on a Groupon deal, as an anniversary treat. This gave outstanding value, and I would happily return to pay full price. Beef was tender and lean, pork and turkey also excellent. With a large dish of veg on the side, there was plenty for all to share and still some over....

We visited The Crown and Anchor today, the ambience was excellent, open fire, friendly staff and good beer. Our order was taken efficiently, and we were escorted to our table. We both selected homemade tomato and basil soup which was excellent and well presented with a warm bread roll. There was a range of meats pork beef and venison etc....

Visited on a Thursday evening and had a lovely time. The pub wasn't too busy. The choices of food and drink are good and the portions very large. We shared a baked camembert and this did not disappoint. I chose the special of the venison sausages and my boyfriend went for the lasagne. Both were large portions and the accompanying...

Received a warm welcome from both the staff and log burning fire. We were there using a Groupon voucher, but will definitely be back. We had a choice of 2 soups, and 5 roast meets. We both chose the tomato and basil soup which was tasty and filling, maybe even a tad too big a portion for a starter. The...

We have been to the CnA several times over the year, around six or more times with friends and just as a couple. On two occasions the meals were substandard, the other mealtimes were good. It's location is away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby towns, and is in a pleasant village location. The issues with the food...

Went here on a Saturday lunchtime, very nice welcome from the landlady, my friends had Timothy Taylor's which they liked but, the white wine wasn't brill. We had to ask for the wi-fi code but that was forthcoming. Clean and tidy Would go back.

Went tonight Saturday 10/09/16 Sarah the owner is on holiday. I'm sorry to say you could tell. The guy serving at the bar got my drink wrong to start with. No music no atmosphere felt very flat. Given the menus had to 40 minutes for them to take our order, I know they had a large party in but they...

“There is only one room (it really is that quaint!), so book early if you don't want to be disappointed. This was a very relaxing break without the kids with lots of nice walks nearby and cities of Lincoln and Nottingham only 50 min drive or London 60 minutes on the train.”
