The hotel in general was ok besides the fact that needs some renewal. The hallways were pretty damaged and the lawn area around the pool was pretty damaged. The pool it self was nice. The stuff is helpful and pleasant. The apartment we stayed was nice as well, everything available and the view was nice. The supermarket around the corner is an total abuse. The prices twice as expensive as somewhere else, exploitative!!! Tróia itself is nice and the beaches even the Comporta one is a paradise!!! We will come back but will choose another hotel. …
Rooms are dated, not cozy, hotel is huge, like a railway station, one restaurant is a buffet with lots of people. Another called italian but the chief doesn’t know how to cook the pasta and make brushettas. Service overall is very bad: could not get soap and hangers for 36 hours, had to ask twice. Not recomendable for whoever used to 4 stars. This one is not the case.…
Positve: The breakfast is of great quality and quite varied. The rooms are comfortable and have a nice sea view (those with this orientation ...) from the generously sized balcony. Swimming pool is quite ok and sunbeds are usually available. There are some activities for children and a club suitable for the youngest. To improve: At breakfast, after a certain period crepes are no longer cooked, and waffles were not always available. The room decor could be a bit more detailed. I found it too 'minimalist'. Cooking utensils could be more varied: there are only XL pots and pans, no wine glasses, breakfast cereal bowls, carrot grater or peeler, among others. On the other hand, since the kitchen is not equipped with an oven, at least, the microwave could have grill function. For young people and adults, clearly, another kind of animation is required! Teenagers and adults do not have entertainment activities at their disposal. Even the movies showing on Friday and Saturday sessions is mainly targeted at children.…
Really well located, you can walk everywhere (beach, supermarket, cafes, restaurants or the casino). The suites might look small on first impact, but they have got lots of space and are super clean. Lovely view towards the sea. The staff is attentive and efficient. Difficult to park the car though, there are some protocols between the hotel and the parking, but still looked overpriced to me.…
We booked a studio apartment in this hotel, because we saw that they have an indoor pool and kids friendly play room (they have three, each for a group of age). We have a child of 2 years old, so a child friendly place is great! Everyone was very friendly, helpful and understanding. We really loved the staff and their service! With other families around we really felt comfortable and home too. We ended up having our meals at the hotel as it was easier. As they are very child friendly, they also had accommodations such as baby chairs and other things. At night, the hotel serves a buffet, and many other families were around too. The location was also great. It was near a beach, not far from the docks, and has a supermarket, self service laundry and coffee places. We also loved walking around with our child, with or baby seat. It was really pleasant as it felt far from all the city noise.…
