We spent a night at this hotel. It was a plesent surprise as the hotel was very typical German style. The landlord turned out to be Danish speaking and he and his personal showed us great hospitality throughout the weekend. Breakfast was included in the hotelprice as was parking next door.

Stayed here for two nights with family. One of the rooms looks like something from the 70's, and smells like it too. There is a distinct smoke-smell in the hallways. The food is beyond bad. So terrible. They call it a restaurant, but it's more like a prison cantina. Big bowl of puke-looking vegetable soup. Flavourless wienerschnitzel with fries and...

Stayed two nights when on a coach tour. An old building, and my room was up some winding stairs, down a corridor, and adapted to the strangely-shaped space available. The shower was a bit snug, but otherwise the room was not cramped, and I slept well. All very clean. My evening meals were taken with the tour group, and were...

A very nice hotel with a good location, both in the city Tarp and for trips in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is cozy with lovely food and there are hotel also has an outdoor seating (which, however, requires proper weather), and a bowling alley. Pt. is a renovation in progress.

The beautiful building and large sized rooms cannot make up for the paper thin walls. We arrived very late in the evening and really needed sleep but could hear everything and made for an awful night. The hot water was not working in the morning and my wife was very upset.

We have visited this hotel twice. It's an old hotel in the old german way.Rooms need refreshment..But they do much to feel you at home. Eating is plent and ok. Tarp is good for trips in Schleswig or shopping in Flensborg. Battle of Sankelmark just 10 km. away. Big + is its werry cheap stay over

Nice and old hotel with kind of good service. Staff speaks danish and most guests were also danish. Quite decent food, but nothing special so do not expect gourmet treats. Hotel does not offer any tourist information, but tourist office just down the street and train station behind hotel to Flensburg, just 12 min. away, and there you find all...

I stayed one night here in May 2013, after starting the booking process a bit too late and finding out that everything else was fully booked. We were three people and got a “bedroom” with five beds. The room was located in a building 50 meters from the reception- and dining area, and everything reminded me of the dormitories at...

The building is actually rather charming, but the minuts you walk in, you realize, that it's pretty worn down. It's a bit like sleeping at your grandma; the room is antiquated, the furniture worn down, the bathroom a legacy from the 70ies. BUT it was dirt cheap, so we didn't expect too much. The staff is friendly and the food...
