100% Happy in all regards. Guides, accommodations, experience was all that we could have hoped for. Often the marketing claims of fishing operations are 'optimistic' shall we say but Milton Lake Lodge surpassed all we had hoped. Guides Blain and Brian were overqualified and the operation is overseen by Nick Parks who runs a great ship. I think the unexpected highlight was the food. The Chef Tanneau (sp?) prepared and presented the food to a level that would do a high end Seattle restaurant proud. This a 90 minute float plane from the nearest store! Well done all around! we have already booked for next year.
There is no better experience. Great people. Great food. Great fishing for trophy fish. And well organized. You will be taken care of from the moment you step on the dock, and have the memory of a lifetime to take home with you.
This is gonna sound like they paid me! I've fished many times in Canada, I'm from Central Iowa. My longtime friend had chatted with Nick about possibly fishing and bear hunting. Long story shorter we caught hundreds of lake trout and northern Pike each! We also arrowed two great black bear in the first two nights! The guides were great! The staff was great! The food truly was 5 star! And the accommodations were fantastic! Laid back but always professional! So so fun! Zero problems. Book that place if you can get in!
Our group caught nearly 800 Northern Pike during our 4 day stay. We were able to get several fish over 40 inches, as I got 5 myself. Great staff and accommodations, would recommend to anyone who wants to take a trip focusing on pike.
Fantastic fishing experience. Everyone from guides to wait staff were just outstanding. They made us feel so welcome. Great meals. Great fishing. Great accommodations. Truly an adventure of a lifetime
My 17 year old son and I had the fortune to spend 4 amazing days at Milton Lake Lodge. I had been on one fly-in before with work colleagues but this was the first for my son. What an outstanding experience and you cannot ask for a better way to spend time with your family/friends than fishing. And when I say fishing - I mean actually catching lots of BIG fish. I have a cottage in Ontario but a seasons worth of fishing at the cottage does not even come close to 4 days at Milton Lake Lodge. The trip was part of the adventure - I will cherish the smile on my son's face when we got on the float plane. The lodge is super comfortable with way more amenities then you would expect this far north. The staff are like family and all take a genuine interest in you and your stay. Food is so unique and the shore lunches are really over-the-top. I know a lot of people will see the cost of a fly in as a bit high but seriously - do the math on what you get VS a week at a typical resort and there is no comparison in the quality of the experience. If you want to get back to "real" nature, actually catch lots of awesome fish, spend the most precious time with family/friends and relax and eat well then you will never regret taking a trip to Milton Lake Lodge - stop talking about "one day" and make today the day!…
If you are looking for a trip of a lifetime, you are looking for Milton Lake Lodge. The staff and guides were the very best. They were so friendly and paid attention to every detail. The food was tremendous and even used the local blueberries, cranberries and moss berries. I just wished that I could give a higher rating than 5. The fishing is the best I have ever seen. Our guide was phenomenal and could put us onto whatever we wanted to catch, huge northern pike, monstrous lake trout and colorful arctic grayling. The lodge was very comfortable, and the hot tub felt great after a long day of fishing. The staff even brought drinks out to the hot tub as we enjoyed the view of the lake from the deck. I will never forget my trip up to Milton Lake Lodge...
Cindy and I spent our honeymoon at Milton Lake Lodge. What incredible fishing I have fished all my life and never had fishing like this. Cindy caught as many fish as I did. The lodging is awesome and the staff went out of the way to make sure that our needs were met. I can't say enough good things about the trip the lodge or the people. Big thanks to the fishing guides. Amazing fishing
Milton Lake Lodge is truly an amazing place, a trip of a life time for sure. The accommodations, hosts, staff, and food were excellent! I was able to land my largest Northern Pike and Lake Trout of my life. Great experience!
Six of us attended Milton Lake Lodge outpost Lake Misekumaw for a once in a life time Fly-In-Fishing Trip. We were treated to some of the best Northern Pike fishing in all of Saskachewan. The flat bottom boats with fish finders were top notch and our camp host (Doug) was extremely hospitable. The accommodations are indeed rustic but better than most others that I have stayed at. What really made these rustic accommodations nice was that there was a hot shower and flush toilets. I would highly recommend Lake Misekumaw for anyone who wants to do there own fishing and cooking. One last note: The management is very well organized and helpful on all aspects. Thank you Milton Lake Lodge.
