We stayed for the last night of the 2016 season and had an enjoyable relaxing time. A quirky hotel in a spectacular location, with the public rooms all being very cosy. Nick and his team gave us a great welcome, which was extended to Archie - our cocker spaniel. Our traditionally furnished room was very clean and the king-sized bed... More

i am writing this review on the basis of the restaurant only, as we did not use the hotel facilities.. this was our second visit to this hotel, as we had been a month earlier, and enjoyed the food and service so much, we thought we would try it again.. well.. we certainly weren't disappointed.. the food was excellent again,... So here is the dilemma, we wanted to visit Abersoch for a few nights and literally all the B&B 's were booked in the town, leaving the pricey PT as the only alternative. We decided to treat ourselves and book a sea-view room, number 3, which was our room 10 years ago and it is probably the nicest room. The... More

Our first & definately not last visit to this lovely hotel. It has a country house feel to it & is furnished in this manner apart from the huge beds which are new & very comfortable. Modern bathrooms as well! We asked for a sea view & what a view this was! Sea & mountains in one glance. Breakfast absolutely... More

The restaurant here has a good reputation but Spicey Duck was so spicy there was no duck flavour left.Onion soup was disappointing and coffee was poor. There is a first class wine list and service is excellent

this hotel grew on us after a shaky start. positives:Unusually, it was family and dog friendly but still very relaxing for couples. Lovely outside seating areas with views of the sea, excellent food, and our (second) room was a very good standard, with quality linen, huge bed and fresh colours. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. negatives:no tea/coffee or... More

Agree comments by Andrew Eccles; pompous, patronising, Fawlty No 2!! Busy bestowing benevolence on visitors without observing any contract agreements No welcome, would not carry cases to the room. Asked for two easy chairs - non but very small hard sofa. No chairs for treacherous bath surface -rubber mat refused due to health and safety regulations ,so no washing in... More

Our third trip to this establishment for a summer girls weekend away. Beautiful rooms with sea view. Great service from a team of pleasant and obliging staff. The food is really something else. Can quite understand the rave reviews and awards. Everything about this place from the location in an area of outstanding natural beauty to the personal touch of... More

This was our fourth visit to Porth Tocyn for our annual ladies weekend. We all have stressful jobs and PT is a welcome escape. The gardens are beautiful with lots of little hideaway corners to relax. The views are breathtaking and the food to die for. Nick is a very attentive and jovial host. His team of staff are friendly... More

We stay every year here and really love it. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the food amazing. The hotel feels like a home from home. The outdoor pool and views are fabulous. Great place thank you Nick and team.
