We had the most marvelous time at this Inn! We gathered for the weekend with siblings (and their partners) and cousins prior to a wedding offsite - anticipating the hurricane which was to arrive directly over us at the time of the ceremony. Luckily it was downgraded to a tropical storm and the wedding occurred without a hitch! Needless to say Barbara (the owner) was well prepared and had her staff all lined up ready to face whatever challenges we might face in the storm. The restaurant and food was excellent, our freshly homemade morning breakfasts were delicious (and included in the price - wow!!) and presented with flair and care on lovely tableware. We had lots of space to spend all together and chat in the dining room at the end of our hall and we loved meeting other guests and our hosts. Our rooms were perfect - comfy beds, tea cups and saucers, water and wine glasses, a fridge to store our snacks and drinks and our own bathroom and sitting area as well as our own balcony. It was spotless and clean and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommend!

Thank you for your kind words ! It was an interest weekend and we were happy your group was part of that experience. The weather in Annapolis Valley is much kinder then in other areas of the province. Hope to see you again on a sunny day :)

We stayed at the off-grid cabin and it was exactly what we needed. Nestled in the forest, away from the hustle and bustle, it was the perfect place to spend a rejuvenating weekend.

The bed was comfy, the wood stove was amazing (especially considering it got down to -16 one night), and we didn't really want for much. There were lanterns and candles, blankets, water and a basin for hand washing, and water and a sink for washing dishes. The RV toilet worked fine, and it was great to not have to go out to an outhouse.

We walked the forest trails one day, and then headed down the road for some nice trails along the beach the next day. We read a lot of our books, and we made a fire in the outdoor firepit and cooked steak and potatoes over the flames and in the coals.

There is no cell service (at least with Public Mobile / TELUS / Bell) and no Wi-Fi, but for us that added to the experience. We were truly disconnected.

We did bring a small iosbutane stove (Soto Windmaster) and a pot to boil water and had some dehydrated hiking meals, in addition to cooking some things on the wood stove and over the fire pit. The kettle did eventually boil on the stove for some tea, but it takes some time so we made coffee with our stove.

We also brought 8L of our own water, in addition to what is left for guests at the cabin.

Slippers are a must! The floor gets quite cold, but the woodstove heats the place insanely well otherwise.

All in all, an amazing stay and we can't wait to go back. We didn't partake in breakfast or go into the Inn itself, but maybe next time! Fantastic, warm, dry, full featured cabin for the price!

Barb, Jorge and staff are so helpful and friendly. They were absolutely accommodating and eager to ensure that the stay was perfect. Breakfast was very well apportioned and if you opt for the hot breakfast, it is prepared fresh. The Prime Rib dinner and the Roast Duck were perfect, during the Valentines Dinner Special. The Food on the normal menu was excellent. I have never had service this good even at 4 and 5 star hotels. Warm, cozy and romantic environment. Highly recommend and will be staying again.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for 3 days. The Hosts Barb and Joerg were very attentive and accommodating. We have stayed at many B&Bs and Inns across Canada and the US, and found this was in the top 5. The room we stayed was very well-appointed and comfortable, and we were able to change towels during our stay. We chose not to have a room with a TV so we could disconnect and enjoy the facility. When we needed to connect to email, the wifi in the inn was powerful enough to allow us to do so. Breakfasts were promptly served at chosen times, and there was lots of variety (hot and cold choices) so it wasn't repetitive at all. The grounds were beautiful, and you were close enough to local attractions in the Annapolis Valley and the coast, you will not be bored. If you have the opportunity, please take in dinner at the restaurant. You will not be disappointed, and remember to save room for dessert - it was amazing.

We had a lovely stay at Edelweiss! The innkeeper is friendly & helpful. Rooms have a comfortable bed and feature a refrigerator, glasses, etc. Everything was very clean. We had the budget room that was a bit smaller but still comfy. The bathroom was small but functional. An enhanced continental breakfast was included, The grounds are beautiful and the on-site restaurant was delicious - we ate dinner there twice! The restaurant also had live music, It’s a peaceful place to relax, but we spent a full day exploring the Bay of Fundy coast! I recommend Halls Harbor Lobster Pound also! Hope to come back.

It's a pleasure to see positive feedback on our 'budget room', as it often gets knocked down due to it's size, we appreciate your positivity. As a small local business, we thank you for your support and the great online review. Guests such as yourselves are a pleasure to serve and host.

The Edelweiss Inn is a beautiful, friendly, clean, and comfortable place to stay while visiting Nova Scotia. We spent six nights in the Inn, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are planning a visit to the Annapolis Valley, this location is centrally located and very convenient. Breakfast was included with our room, and it was delicious everyday. We were served a variety of egg dishes, fruits, home baked goods, and fruits. They also have a wonderful German restaurant open for evening meals. We will definitely return to the Edelweiss on our next trip to Nova Scotia.

We stayed for two nights while visiting family in the area. The location of the Inn is mid way between Wolfville and Digby, and is a nice base for exploring the coves around the Bay of Fundy.
Our room was exceptionally clean and well laid out.
The breakfast was handled safely , with guests eating at staggered times. The quality and variety of the continental breakfast was excellent.
A great find in rural Nova Scotia!

We arrived rather late (9:00 PM) at the Inn, but Barbara was there, opening the door to welcome us! She showed us the room, described the amenities, asked at what time we'd like breakfast, and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the setting over the 5 nights we stayed there. Breakfast was plentiful and every day was different; every one of them was delicious. Don't let Barbara fool you into believing she lacks any expertise in this area! My wife is gluten-intolerant, and Barbara made sure her needs were met. We will definitely be staying at the Inn upon our visit to the Greenwood/Middleton area next year.

Eidelweiss Inn is an ideal base for touring the central Annapolis Valley region. We stayed in Room #1 during their opening weekend in late August 2021. The inn has been lovingly restored with attention to every detail by the new owners. Our room was comfortable and very clean with private balcony overlooking extensive acreage and with a glimpse of the Bay of Fundy shore less than a mile to the north. Room included coffee maker and small refrigerator. On the same floor was a common breakfast room which included a microwave, dishes and cutlery which were complimentary for guests to use throughout their stay. We made our own dinner thanks to the microwave! Owner Barbara was attentive to our needs checking in to be sure we were comfortable. She served a delicious breakfast of veggie and egg frittata with a side of ham and a selection of cereals, breads, fruit, yogurt and preserves. Highly recommended and we will be back! Pam & Dave

Nice German Atmosphere and very clean. We went for dinner and the service was good. The owner said he not only waited tables, he was also the chef and dishwasher. We found the food to be somewhat over priced and the red cabbage was not the German Red Cabbage that I know with mixed with apples, onions and sugar and vinegar. Not much taste to it. Would likely not go back due to cost.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed the evening ! Our goal is achieve 5 star rating with every customer. Based on reviews you made for other restaurants , that it is a challenge to impress you. It take on that challenge ! Come back again and let us know what more we could do to earn a 5/5. Regarding Cabbage : there are different regions in Germany with different red cabbage dishes. It might be sweet, sour or savory. ( which is what we serve) I personally have never had apples in my red cabbage, but I would think that Joerg would be happy to make a modification and change our recipe a bit if you call a few days in in advance and let us know. Regarding price: Meals start at $17 which is just a few dollars more then McDonalds. There is a wide price range of meal options for most budgets and the prices overall are very fair for the quality of food and environment . Hope to see you again sometime !
