The food is very, very good with a lot to choose from. The Sausages and Mash topped with onion rings is a real delight. Everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their dishes. The only downside (hence the 4 and not 5 stars) is that it is fairly expensive. I guess that is down to the pick up in tourism...

We visited last week. We were well received by friendly staff. We stayed for two nights, our room was very disappointing, very large, but the bathroom was down a flight of stairs, no problem for us, but could be a problem for some. The room was huge upstairs, although very tired decor, wallpaper torn from a window side and paint...

Our party of 7 stayed 4 nights to enjoy walks and golf in this lovely part of the South. We expected an average room and food for our £120 per night but enjoyed a large double room with ensuite, sitting area and plenty of space. Other rooms were quirky being a bathroom on the ground floor and bedroom / lounge...

We ordered the crab baguette. When it arrived at the table, a very runny liquid was oozing from the baguette. On further investigation, there was no white crab meat and the contents didn't even merit a description of crab paste. It was watered down probably with mayo and lemon juice and just made the bread soggy. It was priced at...

I received a nice warm welcome on my arrival after a long day walking on the coast path. This continued throughout my stay. The service was always quick, efficient and delivered with a smile. My room (no.3) was lovely. It is a split level with the bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom above. Really clean, lots of hot...

On a short break along the south coast we stayed at 3 different hotels. The first was average price, the second very cheap and the 3rd was The Bridport Arms. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the place or the people. However £130 for double bed and breakfast felt, in comparison with our previous 2 nights, way over the top....

Last days of summer so a Sunday trip to the Bridport area to enjoy the sun and local events. On spec we decided to go to the Bridport Arms. The full menu included Sunday Lunches and a really extensive selection of fish and sea food. The starters were excellent and the main courses, both fish/seafood from the specials board outstanding....

Great pub/restaraunt/hotel literally on the beach in West Bay. Excellent selection of local and guest ales kept very well. The menu while a little expensive is varied with local seafood aplenty. The hotel entrance is round the side from the pub entrance. We were there during the filming of Broadchurch so a little disruption was evident in the area. Back...

We arrived for our one night stay and were signed in at the bar area, then given the pass code to the hotel and the card for our room; straight after we were shown around. The room was very comfortable and clean, and with a very nice view of the harbour; I had asked when I booked not to have...

Another trip to West Bay, another meal that was fantastic, this place never fails. I have visited with as part of a group, with our family, 3 generations and the dog, and as a couple. Can't wait to go back, thanks for the service and the great food
