Welcoming, helpful and friendly (but not intrusive) hosts certainly contributed to making this spacious, bright, recently renovated and comfortable BnB feel like a home away from home. If en suite bathroom, a dining/sitting room and a cosy lounge with fireplace and television is not enough, The Ring Lyne pub is literally 2 minutes stroll away. There was no issue with any noise travelling at all though! The pub is convenient for a delicious meal, a Guinness, a game of pool and perhaps chat to some of the locals, who we found to all be delightful company.

The breakfast spread had everything we could think of including quality yoghurt, cereal and fruit, as well as of course the cooked full Irish breakfast if desired.

After realising how comfortable we were here, we were very pleased that we were able to extend our stay for a few nights. Having a hire car it was a very convenient base for seeing all around the Ring of Kerry area and it was only 5 minutes to our departure point for our Skellig Michael landing tour.

We are from Australia and spent 3 weeks in Ireland. Although there is certainly a vast amount of this beautiful country that I haven't yet seen and would very much like to, I still feel that on a return visit to Ireland I would definitely visit here and stay at Danu House again!

We were fortunate enough to reserve a landing tour to Skellig Michael and then find this gem in Chapeltown. We were warmly received by our wonderful hostess (Derry) and treated to an afternoon cup of tea while checking in. Then after dinner, we enjoyed visiting with Derry and her other guests by a peat fire. Then after a great night's sleep Derry not only prepared our breakfast but also packed a light lunch for us to take on our landing tour. Great location on beautiful Valentia Island, great hospitality, can't recommend this wonderful B&B highly enough.

Great location in Chapeltown on Valentia Island, as compared to Knightstown; imbues a better feel of the island's character, and you're right in the centre.
Hosts are super nice and friendly; very knowledgeable of the area and helpful, and will cook a decent breakfast for you!
All of the rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the sitting room is delightful with the fire roaring.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Dirty when we arrived. Solution was to send a cleaner the next morning sovwe had to spend a night in a filthy appartment, after deciding to leave we did not get our money back for four nights of booking! Don't go here!
