We stayed in the Hollywood Suite. They had a sitting room with balcony access that connected with the bedroom which had additional balcony access. We didn't really use the sitting room because there was no TV. The room and grounds were incredible. Fountains, flowers and private areas to enjoy. It was by far the best looking and cared for motel...

Stayed in two different rooms, both clean and lovely. Buffet breakfast included or you can order from a breakfast menu for traditional chilaquiles and more. Enjoy fresh coffee every morning on their front patio which is across the street from the outdoor market and lake. On the pricey side but you can't beat the location. Advice: bring earplugs if you're...

This is a charming hotel with nice rooms and a lovely interior garden courtyard. Breakfast (included) on the patio is a great start to the day. The staff are helpful and friendly and if you can' find parking in front, they'll find room in their lot. Centrally located across from the malecon & lake, close to restaurants. Because of it's...

Converted residence with quiet, private rooms - although we took our car out occasionally - it wouldn't be necessary as restaurants, shopping, etc within walking distance. I was impressed with 1. graciousness and efficiency of staff; 2. management and attention to detail; and 3. aesthetics throughout - from linens and artwork to landscaping.

Located across the street from Lake. Side walks to everything in this small but quaint town. Dinners in the area are very very reasonable. Many tent vendors around the Lake to make it interesting. The walk to the square took only a few minuets. The town gives you a feeling of very safe. We are going back in March.

We stayed at the Hotel Villa San Francisco for 6 nights and quite enjoyed our stay. We arranged for a pickup at the Guadalajara airport and it is about 30-45 minutes to the Villa. Our room (Tango) was comfortable and the bed was too. This hotel is more like a bed and breakfast with attentive and personal service. Each room has...

We stayed recently and were a little intimidated that the location was so close to all the street noise. We walked through the gated wall into a secluded little paradise. The staff were all excellent., friendly, most spoke English and we enjoyed our 3 night stay. Our room was at the front with a terrace and in hindsight, we would...

The hotel rooms, grounds, and front porch where breakfast is served are beautiful. The breakfast consisted of fresh juices, fruit, cereal, etc. Well done. Cordial & responsive staff. But I had to call the front desk 3 out of 4 nights because of the loud people on the terraza outside my room late at night. I stayed in the Folklorico...

I was travelling alone and pick this hotel because of the proximity to restaurants and other amenities. The .front staff was very welcoming and the room although not large was very nicely decorated. The bed was ultra comfortable as were the pillows. Everything was extremely clean an a lovely courtyard area where you can spend some time. It was a...

Villa San Francisco is right downtown, facing onto the Malecon. Although the hotel offers free parking, there is ample free (ignore the disabled parking meters) and secure street parking (there are civic surveillance cameras and plenty of Beat Cops). The hotel is beautiful and quiet with a charming ambiance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The reception staff speak...
