My wife and I have visited this hotel many times in the last 15 years and always found it a pleasure.
The carvery has been excellent and now the chefs serve you it is far better because they know how to pile it on your plate.
The rooms were recently refurbished and are very comfortable with very modern fittings in both bedroom and bathroom which are kept spotlless by the cleaning ladies.
There is an inclusive continental breakfast served by Judy and Lesley for whom nothing is too much trouble.

we visited here as a couple child free for the first time since before covid, this place was brilliant! very clean & well kept, great standards & decorated to a high standard, comfortable nights sleep, the room had an iron & board, tea & coffee making facilities a sofa & tv, lovely spacious room, shower was lovely & hot & powerful, not a bad point about it, we will certainly be back to stay again without a doubt.

The staff at the toby carvery were great especially mel who served us very polite & friendly, answered our questions and helped us with everything. meals were gorgeous.

check in & out was simple & done inside toby carvery, we saw the cleaners as we were leaving and saw how thorough they were with the cleaning, very good to see.
thank you very much to all.

Visiting family, one of whom was shielding, meant we needed to stay in a local hotel. Booking two rooms for two nights and having good change out of £200 meant it wasn’t going to be great.. surely?

How wrong I was. A friendly welcome in the Toby Carvery next door to check in was followed by looking at our rooms and dropping off our luggage. They were really well appointed and new looking with actually fab little bathrooms and inclusive toiletries. Little touches like plugs with usb sockets next to the beds and reading lights were appreciated.

We had very comfortable nights of sleep and great showers too.

Only minor gripe, and it is minor, is that the walls are thin and you can hear traffic noise with a front facing room but it’s nothing major.

Finally all staff we met were so super friendly. We even tried to keep the room super tidy so that the housekeeping team had less to do. Lovely people, they really were.

Just on the main road this is a great place to stop or base yourself for a few days. car park is out front and the whole place felt safe. Check in is at the Toby Carvery bar. Entrance is via a key fob through the first two doors and then a modern key lock to the room. WiFi is free and can take uploads, unlike some hotels that block uploads. Staff are friendly and efficient. Being outside of town, has the benefit of being quieter. Rooms are 'top' for the price, I've paid four times more for four times less in other places. Modern and new feel to the rooms, plenty of tea and coffee, well this is Yorkshire I suppose. Bathrooms have a new feel too. The 'bigger boys' could genuinely learn a lot from this hotel.

Just spent the weekend at the innkeepers lodge in Hull with my wife and family, we had 2 rooms, 1x family and 1x double both rooms were decorated ok with a great bathroom with walk in shower, large tv and kettle but that's where it stops. The beds were extremely hard and not comfortable at all, there was no interet available throughout the stay, our double room was overlooking the car park which was on a very busy noisy road so quite loud with the window open (No aircon but there was a very noisy fan supplied) there was nowhere to sit as the sofa had been removed (presumably to be used in a family room) There was no room service due to the covid pandemic, which made replacing towels etc. quite difficult, the family room was only set up for 2 people even though there was 4 staying in the room (I.e. 2 cups, 2 towels etc.) We recieved an email the evening before we was due to go that continental breakfast was now being served in a grab bag which was far too late to cancel. We did upgraded to the full breakfast service on the last day which was great, the continental breakfast isn't that good to be honest. Would be good for a corporate room for an odd night but not that good for familys. We made the best of the weekend but won't be going back. I must add that the staff have been great but this doesn't make up for the poor overall service available.

The hotel is situated next to a petrol station and surrounded by tarmac. Smelly Garbage bins are next to the entrance. It’s too far from the center to walk from there. Does not match the photo on the website from Innkeepers Lodge where i booked. Later i read here that in 2020 people paid 35 pound, but we paid 126 for a small family room. Breakfast was included but there was no fruit of juice included. The plates were dirty. Shower was good, but there was stained carpet and a rip in the curtains.

Stayed 3 nights. The room was clean apart from a bit rubbish from someone else on the floor near the headboard. Lovely white fluffy towels on heated radiator. Plenty toiletries in bathroom. Iron and board on the wall. Also fan in case you are too hot. Tea/coffee plenty supply. Dont lift the net curtain to look outside as window frames and rubber seals are very dirty. Carvery was nice staff lovely. Little did we know no breakfast at carvery due to staff shortages, seem to have been on going for a while. Pity they didnt let us know in advance. Door handle a bit iffy key got stuck at one point. Needs a tidy up outside doesnt look very inviting. We doubt we would stay again.

We have used this lodge several times, over many years, always been superb.

This time, Breakfast is no longer included, they need to adjust the title on the Website, or make sure you are aware that it's now an extra.

Then the door to the room was difficult to unlock, wouldn't lock inside, had to use the security bolt, had to hold the toilet seat when getting on/off, really loose, entry door light switch, upside down, wi fi code no longer in room, presumably you have to ask ,to say the least very unhelpful staff.

As I was temporarily in a wheelchair and visiting the area, we booked an accessible room for two nights. We were very pleased with the standard of the room and the large wet room/bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the staff were so pleasant and obliging, we couldn't fault the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with my daughter after she had her tonsils removed. We needed to stay for 48 hours before travelling back to Epsom. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was so handy to be able to have a takeaway carvery for her to enjoy the Mac n cheese with her sore throat.
Rooms are comfortable with adjustable heating so you can be in a comfort range. Large tv, tea& coffee making facilities and a decent shower. I’d stay again as it’s affordable , clean and friendly.
Handy for the retail park McDonalds and more.

There is no lift to the first floor. However, I believe there is an assessible room on the ground floor - that is, to the left of the entrance door. However, if you go in the summer months there are swarms of flies in the corridor on the ground floor (to the left) because the 'bins' are situated close by. This is a real problem.
