Stayed here for a few days over new year. On arrival the setting looked stunning and we were greeted by Emma with lovely homemade cookies. The cottage is tastefully decorated and the additional Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. It is well equipped with a high standard of appliances - a warm and cosy place to return to after some...

My wife and I visited here for three nights in November 2016. We stayed in the Huntsman Cottage as it was dog friendly and we took our little jack russell. The cottage was fantastic. Cosy, warm and comfortable. Internet, satellite TV and a full working kitchen. Some people worry about the size of places like this but, honestly, it was...

Chose the Waggonette cottage for our summer break and were delighted with the location, greeting from the hosts and the peace and quiet. The remote location meant we were treated to an appearance from red squirrels in the morning followed by the pet ducks and hens later on. Ideal location to go exploring the dales or Cumbria. The hosts have...

Spent a wonderful bank holiday w/e in the "Wagonette". Very impressed with the apartment, every comfort for guests has been carefully considered. The bed was comfortable, the entire place was warm, and the modern kitchen and bathroom were both spotless and very well equipped. Saw my first ever red squirrel, a big thrill, and was delighted that food was available...

Stayed here last night in the Wagonette! Lovely setting and nice apartment. Martin and Emma are making a fantastic effort with the place and welcomed us with fresh carrot cake! The views are stunning and the roads all around are awesome to drive through! Only four stars because the apartment took some time to warm up which with my pregnant...

We booked a very reasonably priced last minute 3 day break here over the May Bank Holiday. The cottages are in a beautiful spot with fabulous views across the Mallerstang valley. We had a spacious ground floor apartment with state of the art kitchen, great shower room, comfy bed, everything spotlessly clean. The most wonderful bonus was the regular visits...

We had an apartment for two on the ground floor. It was spacious with an excellent kitchen and bathroom. Pity we ate out! We loved the location and the red squirrels that live nearby. The location in the valley of Mallerstang is dramatic and away from the madding crowd.
