This was our last stop on our 2 week vacation with our 6 year old twins and our adult kids. We had heard good things about this resort and were very excited to stay here. However, we actually ended up checking out after just a couple of hours in our family bungalow. Maybe our expectations were too high since we had already stayed at 3 other hotels and an Airbnb, that had been fabulous. I’m not sure, but we were very disappointed. Pros: The common grounds, the pools, kids play ground and the restaurants, were all very nice. And our waiter, Jonathon, was excellent. We only interacted with 4-5 staff members, and he was the only one that was pleasant, friendly and tried to ensure we had a good time. The food was OK. Again, we had the previous hotels to compare it to.
Cons: The bungalows need a serious remodel! The furniture is outdated and uncomfortable . The moldy smell inside the bungalow was unbearable for us. (All the hotels we stayed at were on the beach. Out of all the hotels, this one was actually the one furthest away from the beach. And none of the other hotels had that moldy smell. Just the opposite, they smelled clean and fresh.) The restrooms, again, outdated, and in dire need of a remodel.
Even though they told us there was hot water in the shower, the kids tried taking a shower after swimming in the pool, and there was no hot water. The staff at checkin seemed annoyed, not at all friendly or what you would expect from the first staff you meet at a hotel. She did not offer up any helpful information (i.e. the location of their restaurants, where the access to the beach was, how to get to our bungalow). And even though we didn’t need any help with our bags, my husband pointed out how at the other 3 hotels we had stayed at, staff quickly asked “can we help you with your bags”, but not here. Like I mentioned previously, had we not had such wonderful experiences during our trip at other hotels, we might not have felt so disappointed. Lastly, price wise, this hotel was comparable to the others we stayed at. It was not any cheaper. When we checked out around 9:30pm, they offered to move us to a different bungalow, but it was in the same condition. We just wanted to get out of there, and didn’t even ask for a refund.
** I would definitely go back on a day pass to enjoy a day at the pools, but wouldn’t think about spending the night until the bungalows are remodeled.

The junior bungalow is a good size for two people but the air conditioning takes a long time to cool down as does the small refrigerator.

The main pool is very nice and has water slides but these are not as level and can hit a bit. It can be used at night.

The beach club is nice and they served us in good time but the stairs leading to the beach are always wet because the showers do not have a drain or do not work.

Management does not put guests first! I am appalled at the fact that this “resort” has a 4 rating! This place is HORRIBLE! They only give you 2 towels per room regardless how many people you say will be staying in the room. The beach/ pool area does not provide towels you have to use the only 2 towels they provide to your room. The shower did not drain. The toilet barely flushed. Food is not included. There are no extra amenities offered. The breakfast buffet was subpar the eggs were runny, the plantains were cooked in what seemed burnt oil, the coffee was watered down. No free refills on coffee. They are very hesitant to try to make any accommodations to please their guests. In order to have our bathroom draining issues fixed we had 3 different workers come into the room to inspect, they did not even offer to clean the bathroom floor after they walked inside and carried in their dirt. Finally they switched us to a new room and the room was terribly hot, they rushed us out of our first room to switch to the new room without even prepping the new room. Overall this trip was awful, neither I nor my family will ever be returning to this hotel. If the awful service doesn’t run you off the flys and Bees that follow you everywhere including while you try to enjoy your meal will certainly make your trip horrible.

I must say the reception was the worst service. Went with my family and my mom and aunt. A group a 5. (Supposedly my daughter wasn't included cause she was only 5. So she didn't count. They wanted us to sleep in one open space room with two double beds. When realizing the accommodation wasn't going to work I asked if we can please be moved to another cabin with two rooms for some privacy. The lady at the front said once the room was assigned she is unable to move anyone without authorization. So we waited two hours after check in to get a response. And then was moved to single rooms which was fine. Until my mom got to her room and she was unable to get in her room because the step was over a foot high and my mother had just had hip surgery and suffers from polio. I asked if there was any way to add a small ramp or block to make a step to help her get in the room. They said they had nothing to add to make it easier to get in. So the front suggested lending me a wheelchair and pulling in my mom backwards. After telling him it was impossible the head of security came to try and told the guy at the front it's impossible she's going to get hurt..we need to add a step or change the room. The receptionist then said it was going to take another hour to see which room had a smaller step. Overall terrible service with reception not even explaining to me that the food my daughter was consuming was not in our package and I had to pay for it separately. The food was beyond delicious and the pools were amazing. I would definitely change the front desk as it is your first impression when staying at such a beautiful resort.

I mean i get it's a mid range resort, but there were times it felt more like a hostel. I went in a group of 9 people, and the organizer had made reservations 2 months in advance with a 50% deposit made. We get there and they have no knowledge of us, our reservation, or our deposit. We are left to wait for an hour in the heat while reception frantically organized themselves.
Next we get to our rooms, and for whatever bizarre reason, they only give one key per room. Nbd if you're a couple, but i had just met my roommate and it proved to be pretty inconvenient.
Next our air conditioner doesn't work. They fixed it quick but....sigh. The shower had good water pressure, but not much hot water, though arguably, not entirely necessary in the tropics. The bed and linens were decent, but not great. The towels, which they repeatedly threatened to charge $20 if we lost or stole them, were not worth $5. Literally strings coming off on both ends, and threadbare. No fridge or safe in the rooms. No hooks or towel racks or anything to make it feel just a little more comfortable.
THEN someone in our group had a short circuit in their shower and kept getting electrocuted when they showered!
The food is honestly delicious, the best I've ever had on any resort, including 6-star ones. I will give this place that. The proximity to the airport is also great. But the beach is dirty, with trash all over. It's kind of sad. I don't go the beach to be sad.
Great food, close to the airport, and the water slides are great for kids, but otherwise, this place sucks.

my group was 9 people. I had made reservations two months in advance and had made 50% deposit on our reservation. When we got there to check in, they didn't have our reservation handy and made us wait an hour in intense heat of the afternoon before they could assign us room. Then, a whole series of inefficient events began. First, one of the rooms had a broken AC. They keep threatening us not to lose the towels because they would charge us $20 each. The last drop was when my wife and I kept getting electric shocks when trying to use the shower, a faulty electric connection for hot water was causing this exposing us to be hurt. I asked for a refund for my last night there because we decided to change hotels and was told they wouldn't do that. We left anyway because we had had it with their inefficiency and negligence.

The road to this place is not paved or much less close to any main road. Uber will not be available only taxis and they're super pricey I paid 60 to get me out of there. The staff is not very friendly nor accommodating, the waiters are not waiting on you, you must call them over...not sure if it's a cultural thing but if I didn't call someone over I could have say at my table forever.
The experience is was not worth the 65 they charge per person. This is way overpriced.

We ended our stay in San Salvador by spending three lovely days here. The weather was beautiful, and this location was the perfect relaxation spot. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, we did have issues checking in. We were a large group, and even though we had booked and paid for everything in advance, the resort had confused some of our rooms and access passes. It took over an hour to clear everything up, and by the time we finally got to our room, I was exhausted. Unfortunately, the beds were a little bit uncomfortable. My husband and I were expecting a double bed, but it room had 2 separate beds, and we couldn't move them together because of the nightstand in the center and aplastic information card sticking out in the wall between the 2 beds. (That's another story). When we asked for extra towels, they were provided, but only after they confirmed how many towels were already in our room. ( I guess they thought we were going to steal them)? The food and drinks were really good. Very authentic. Overall, we loved the location. I just felt like there wasn't a lot of proper administration coordination.

The hotel facilities are nice and clean. The prices are accessible and the products are quality. We had a 20% discount on stay, and the hotel has promotions throughout the year, so taking advantage of the offer becomes accessible.
