My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at Ratanui Lodge on our Honeymoon and what a great choice! Right from the word go we were looked after wonderfully, from the arranged pick up at Wainui after walking the Abel Tasman where a drink was on hand for us for the drive back to Ratanui, through to the lovely Spa...

After walking the complete Abel Tasman walk which was wonderful, we were met at the car park and delivered to the amazing Ratanui Lodge. Such a great welcome and beautiful rooms, couldn't believe we were staying here!. A welcome spa and the best meal I've had for a long time in the perfect dining room. The service was impeccable. Steve took care of us and the service was excellent. The rooms were adequate, the bed was comfy, and the pillows were great. Wireless gave a great hi-speed connection to the internet. The bathroom was well designed with a walk in shower - no shower door!

We stayed at Ratanui Lodge on the night of our wedding and it was gorgeous. Steve and Pete had made the room up so lovely and we felt like true VIP guests. The bed was so big and comfy, we were so tired and had the best sleep we'd had in weeks. The next morning, Steve bought us an incredible...

Great location for basing yourself in Golden Bay. Rooms are comfortable, upscale motel rooms. There is a pool and hot tub, which we didn't have time to try, but looked inviting. Steve is an amazing host and gives each guest his utmost attention. Food is also amazing, so book in for dinner there too!

Warm and polite welcome from Steve, a cup of tea (bone china cups, tea in a nice silver teapot) and a home made biscuit delivered as we settled in to our gorgeously furnished rooms. Rooms and ensuites are all different and furnished with some lovely wooden antiques. Beds very comfortable. Food was set menu which suited us fine - no...

I've just finished spending a month touring New Zealand and this place was one of the highlights. I was there only one night, but it's a great property and I wish I had had the time to stay longer. I ate a dinner and a full breakfast at the hotel and both were excellent. The highlight of this place, though,...

At first the Ratana's looks like a motel type property when you drive in. It quickly becomes evident that the owners have put a lot of blood, seat and tears into making this property special. Steven, one of the owners) greeted us with a welcome drink. Our oops were well appointed with beautiful furnishings and a comfortable bed. Breakfast, included...

Lovely rooms with attentive and friendly service. We were greeted on the drive and swiftly checked in. Room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Dinner was superb, as was breakfast and the packed lunches they provided. However greater than all this was the fantastic friendly, without ever being intrusive, service. The cold drinks in a cool bag brought when we were...
