My time at Dreams Riviera was one to always remember. From the beautiful scenery to the above and beyond customer service. Upon arriving I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcome. Check-in was a little long, but only because they insured that I got...More

When my husband and I stood at the Dreams Riviera it was our first time in Cancun, Mexico and we researched the resort, and the area for those kinds of incidents. We even went on the travel government website to ensure that traveling to that part of Mexico was safe. At the time, the only thing we read on the government website was that the violence in the country was increasing, and the tourist areas were still safe. After we got back from our trip we heard about the shooting at the beach. What I found particularly interesting was that the incident was reported, and there was no follow up. So we were fortunate that we did not experience or witness any crimes, but what I will say is that we won't go back to Mexico. It has become too dangerous for tourist, and it's simply not worth risking our lives for a vacation when we can just go somewhere else. Sorry to hear of your experience.
