I can't say enough about Casa Caribe and Cabanas..it is perfectly located just a few minutes walk to the beach, down the street from wonderful restaurants, and on the collectivo route to La Colonia (for just 10 pesos)...It's also less than a 10 min walk to the Chedraui grocery store. The grounds and pool area are gorgeous, immaculately kept and private. The owner, a friendly Canadian named Myron, and his front office staff (Vanessa, who has moved to the US, and her replacement, Claudia), went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The website photos didn't do our beautiful 1 bedroom apartment justice. It had nearly everything we needed (I would just suggest 2 or 3 food storage containers with lids, a small soft sided beach cooler, and a couple of ice packs) including 2 Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs and an umbrella! The housekeeping staff were incredible and every 3 days or so we'd come home to a sparkling clean apartment and fresh bed linens and towels. We are so grateful to have booked here and can't wait to return!…
We can't thank Myron and Vanessa and all the staff at Casa Caribe enough for making our wedding everything we'd hoped! We were able to rent the full hotel and cabanas to host all of our 24 Friends and Family and even kiddos, as well as hold our rehersal dinner and wedding reception on-site. I can't even explain all the ways the staff went above and beyond to accomoadate us and our family to make the wedding and our stay special and an experience we will never forget. We left feeling like we had family and a special place in PM to always come back and visit. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach and Myron and Vanessa were great hosts helping to introduce us and arrange everything we needed including great tours, covid tests, taxis, last minute things to restock the bar and decorations, and they made an amazing breakfast and were flexible on when they served it based on the activities of the day! If you are looking for wedding accomodations that can host a smaller wedding group and events on site this is your place. They went above and beyond and we can't thank you all enough! We look forward to visiting again soon!…
We spent 2 weeks at this location. It was a wonderful 1 bedroom apartment, spacious, clean, well appointed. We had everyting we needed to make our stay comfortable. Myron, our host, was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was top notch. I would definitely stay here again. It is quiet, yet close to the action. Thank you, Myron, for a wonderful vacation.
Great location in a quiet part of town and steps away from the beach and great food. Simple check in and out and laid back atmosphere. Bikes weren't usable when we were there, but walking was fine. Nice bit of ocean view from our balcony. I was surprised to find that everyone everywhere in town spoke perfect English if you're into that sort of thing.
We love Puerto Morelos. This is our second time to visit and the first time we stayed by the Cabanas side which is like a huge studio apartment. It's a very short walk to the beach (just across) and about an 8 min walk to the plaza. We arrived early and the staff went out of their way to have our room ready. Myron and Vanessa were there to welcome us. The room was spacious, with a bag of ice in the freezer and water for drinking. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The apartment was nicely appointed, with a blender, coffee maker, sugar and the basics we needed for cooking and dining. There was on oven toaster, a bread toaster and microwave. Plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses and yes, wine bottle opener! It was wonderful to have a large refrigerator and freezer space filled with a bag of ice. They provided all the towels needed and beach towels as well. I asked for a hair dryer and they gave me one. They also had lots of hooks in the room to hang your wet clothes aside from the large cabinet. I felt so at home in the two weeks we stayed there. We got to know our "neighbors" and became friends. We even had barbques together. I love the swimming pool. It was a nice place to hang out after a day at the beach. The staff were very friendly, helpful and respectful. The cleaning staff did a great job of cleaning the rooms - it was immaculate! It really was home away from home. I wish we could've stayed longer. Internet was available altho' there was day it went out in the area. The staff really made the difference - they kept us informed, were available to help us and Myron made our stay truly a wonderful experience. The Caribe side is great for short stays and the Cabana side were we where is perfect for longer stays. We definitely will come back and hope to bring family over. It's a perfect place for a reunion. Now, we did have sargasso issues in the beach but we stayed long enough to enjoy days when the sargasso wasn't so bad and we had the pool to relax in. Puerto Morelos does a good job of cleaning up the beach but nature can't be stopped! I just can't say enough about the place and the hospitality we experienced. The apartment we had didn't have the patio in front but it had a patio at the back. There are other apartments that offer front patio. A few things to remember during summer: bring lots of insect repellant and hydrocortisone. The rooms are well screened so mosquitos were not a problem in the apartment at all. It's being at the beach or outside at night. Other than that, we had a lovely stay. I just can't say enough about the place and the hospitality we experienced. Vanessa & Myron responded to my emails and they were always available. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. Puerto Morelos is a beautiful place and Casa Caribe & Cabanas made it even more so. I am so grateful that my cousin told me about this place. We hope to be back soon!…
Our family of four absolutely loved our week at Casa Caribe. What's not to love? Well situated with a 5 minute walk into charming Puerto Morelos and a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach, the friendly and very helpful people, the large, lovely, rooms, delicious breakfasts, and a wonderful outdoor common area to play cards and talk with fellow travelers. We had heard great things about Casa Caribe and it lived up to our high expectations. Thank you Myron and Vanessa for your wonderful hospitality! We cannot wait to return.
Spent a week at Casa Caribe. Great service from Vanessa and all the team. Very clean and spacious. Great location 1 block from a terrific beach and a few blocks from town centre. Puerto Morales is the gem of the Mayan Riviera. Plan to return to town and Casa Caribe.
Spent a week and had a great time very clean great atmosphere with many places to relax in sun or alot of outside shelter. Staff were wonderful and helpful in every way. Great location in a wonderful village where you can see their culture or have the torisium of the vilage
This was our second trip to Puerto Morelos and the Casa Caribe B&B with its authentic Mexican architecture and clean, comfortable rooms. They offer a wide variety of breakfast choices, but our favourites were the honey/yogurt/granola fruit plate and the El Wero. Casa Caribe is only an quick 2 minute walk to the pristine sand beach and numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Another plus for us was that we had the use of bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas during our stay. Myron, Judy and Tim are wonderful hosts. So if you’re thinking of making Puerto Morelos your next vacation place then Casa Caribe is our recommended accommodation.
We have stayed here before, even prior to current owner Myron. We return because we know it will surpass our expectations each time. It is an ideal setting for a quiet reprieve in Puerto Morelos . One block from beach and a few blocks from great dining, it is very well located. The rooms are spacious and upstairs rooms have view of ocean. Included is a home cooked breakfast which is well appreciated. Myron is a wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful. We love Puerto Morelos because it gives us great ocean swimming, access to many restaurants all within walking distance and yet not too far from cancun or playa del Carmen if you want to turn the energy up. As salsa dancers, you can enjoy dancing in town on Friday nights. Otherwise venture out to playa del Carmen to take in salsa dancing on Thursday's and Saturdays... Until next year!…
