The complex is well maintained and landscaped and has one of the nicest beachside pools in the area. Each condo is individually owned and decorated; all beachfront with direct views. the drawback is the beach is full of rocks so one needs to know they...More
Great place! Loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and the spectacular views. Very quiet and clean. A lot of seaweed but the staff was out faithfully every morning taking the beach. The driving directions are not accurate so make sure whoever is...More
We stayed at the Caribbean Reef Villas in January 2014. This sweet gem is just off the beaten path just south of the town of Puerto Morales. If you are looking for quiet, this is it. We stayed on the 2nd floor, never used our...More

We did not mind the walk, but we always took a cab back if it had become dark because the whole area is very dark, no lights whatsoever. Also, the road is rough and has a lot of El Cid traffic - too many possibilities for mishaps in the dark. It is possible to walk the beach for a way, then a cut up through a short stretch of rather messy jungle and coming out onto the road by the traffic guard, also not recommended in the dark. A cab ride back was 50 pesos, which with the present exchange rate is less than $4 U.S. Plus, at this point it remains light until 7:00 or later.
