I really enjoyed this place. I know it might not be for everyone ... most of the criticisms are true about its slightly industrial location and not so great beaches, and that staff isn't always available. But I'm not a fussy traveler, and would prefer...More
Cannot recommend Sak Ol highly enough.
After a week and a half touring round the Yucatan, this was the perfect place to come and relax.
My son rated their breakfast fruit the best he has ever had!
And nothing was too much trouble for them
We stayed at an AI resort 5 nights prior to staying at Sak Ol. Sak Ol was a pleasant break from the resort. We had the entire hotel to ourselves, it was great. The owners did everything to make us feel at home and Luna...More
We loved the location of Rancho Sakol. It was an awesome home based to explore the small town of Puerto Morelos, the Cenotes around the area and we managed to visit Valladolid, isla holbox and Chichen Itza in about 4 days. The staff helped us...More

Thanks for your question. Guests typically head into town for meals or buy ingredients (fresh produce from the small shops, fresh fish at the fishermen's co-op, a trip the Chedraui supermarket on the highway for a full supermarket, etc.) and prepare meals in the communal kitchen. We include the use of our bikes (subject to availability) in our rates so guests can get to town more easily (it's about a 5-10 minute ride by bike). Taxis are also available to the center town for about 50-60 pesos each way.
