We stayed in the “Redwood Cabin Forest View” and absolutely loved it. We were surrounded by the redwoods and right near a stream. The room was extremely spacious, with a large bathroom and mini kitchen. Each room has a private fire pit and chairs outside, so definitely buy stuff to make s’mores before you go! (Although they do have a...

My husband and I visited California and the Big Sur at the beg of Jan encountering the worst storm California had seen for years! Staying at the Glen Oaks was a relief after a long and rainy drive!! The rooms are lovely and stylish with the added bonus of the fireplace!!! The staff was lovely and helpful providing great local...

Had a two night weekend getaway for my boyfriends bday. Everything about Glen Oaks and the surrounding area is breathtaking. We stayed in the Adobe Lodge with a king bed, fire place, heated bathroom floors, and private yard. We crossed the highway to hike through the red woods and see Grandam Pfeiffer. We loved our stay and would recommend it...

I've used Trip Advisor for years and never once left a review. Yup, I know. But, I had to break the seal, because Glen Oaks treated us quite well. After a day of hiking and sightseeing in Big Sur, we arrived at Glen Oaks in the evening. As we were checking in, my wife, the bath tub enthusiast, asked about...

I did a TON of research for our "Pacific Coast Highway" honeymoon and we stayed here during the trip. The service, cabin, attention to detail and excitement and encouragement of us being newlyweds made us feel so special! I have to say this was by far the coolest, most different, comfy, cozy experience I have ever had at a "hotel."...

Not enough good things to say about Glen Oaks! The property is a large and sprawling one in the redwoods along Highway 1, and conveniently located to many of the crown jewels of Big Sur. The motor lodge rooms are beautifully decorated — from the furniture to the Pendleton blankets on the bed and indoor fireplaces. While it was a...

My visit to Glen Oaks was superb to say the least. Even as a solo traveler coming to Big Sur for the first time, I felt at home in the accommodations. The staff was very friendly and the Roadhouse right across the street served up a mean cup of coffee and delicious donuts in the morning. The rooms are spacious...

Great place to stay in Big Sur. The prices are very reasonable compared to others nearby. They gave us a free upgrade to a better room and a bottle of wine. The trail on the property is beautiful. The location is very close to Pfeiffer Beach if you want to go to Keyhole Arch for sunset.

This was our second time at Big Sur and we stayed in the Redwood Cabin: River View. Just as expected it was an incredibly comfortable, restful time in the redwoods in a luxurious cabin. We love how the river can be seen (and heard) from the porch and how cozy the cabin and the outdoor fireplace were. So much was...

This place is a must stay! The prices are so reasonable compared to what you get at other places and the hotel is modern, clean, eco-friendly and close to several restaurants. If you ask me this is Big Sur's best kept secret.
