Stopped to eat in the café and what a find. Family run, great food, clean restaurant and friendly staff. Excellent, really enjoyed it. Beautiful location along the road to the Big Sur (closed at present).

This is a very quaint and rustic little group of cabins. I stayed in Cabin 2 which was right on the river. The weather was chilly so I couldn't have a meal on the deck over looking the river but I can imagine how nice it would be in the summer. There is also a little fire pit in front...

the cabins at Ripplewood give you a peaceful, convenient place to stay at Big Sur. The wood burner was lovely though the heater kept the cabin warm enough without it. Despite it looking like no really money has been spent on the cabin for some time it was comfortable and in a great location right by the river

Will not offer full refunds despite have no road to South until at least September 2017. Was told to take the 3 hour 101 bypass. With only a road from the north limited dining options exist. One and a half hours return from Monterrey seems a bit extreme travel time for a nice dinner or supplies.

I go to Big Sur a lot because I live nearby and most times I'll do some camping, but after last summer's fire and this winters storms most of the campsites are closed. On the weekend I decided to go camping highway #1 was also closed just south of Ripplewood. So I frantically drove into town to Big Sur to...

This resort is located in a good spot in Big Sur, its easy to get to and to get around to all the sights in the area. You are in the woods surrounded by redwoods which is very pretty but cabins are too close the the road so you hear highway noise. We stayed in cabin 16, there are other...

We stayed in Cabin 1 right down by the river. Our cabin looked right over the river. It rained the whole time we were there, so we couldn't use it, but there was a nice deck and fire pit. We did take advantage of the fireplace. My son is 13 and he was so excited when we told him we...

Pro's: You're in Big Sur, surrounded by the redwoods. It doesn't get any better than that. The staff was accomodating, the Ripplewood General store had anything you need in a pinch, the cabin was rustic and cute. I felt cozy at all times. The price is just right for Big Sur, as everything is expensive in Big Sur. Decent sized...

We stayed here for one night stay Jan 4th on our way down highway one. The wood cabins with fire place are quite comfortable , we were in cabin 15, even though a bit expensive @ $278 inclusive . Our cabin had 1 queen, 1 double in lounge area with fire place and a single bed room off fully equipped...

My husband and I stayed here in Cabin 12B, which shares a wall with Cabin 12A. The other half was unoccupied, so there were no noise issues for us as had been mentioned by other travelers. The room was clean, but had a weird smell. The shower was small, and the bed was not comfortable. It served it's purpose as...
