From the moment we arrived and received such a warm welcome by Lynda we enjoyed everything: the welcome tea and cake, superb breakfasts - something to suit everyone, our room - a good size, (useful as we have a dog), the ensuite - beautifully fitted. We appreciated the guest lounge which we relaxed in after a day out walking and...

Wonderful warm welcome from Linda upon arrival including an invitation to "help yourself to cake" (which we did later that evening and fantastic cake it was). This beautiful house is positioned at one end of Whitchurch village - there is a superb village shop at the other end of the road, plus a friendly pub and another cafe/bistro we unfortunately...

What a warm welcome, lovely house with loads of character and such comfy beds. We were greeted with tea and wonderful cakes on arrival. Lynda and David really made us feel at home, they couldn't do enough for us. Lynda has a real talent in the kitchen, I've never tasted pancakes that good before. We'll definitely be back smile emoticon

We found Norton House to be a most pleasant place to base ourselves for a visit to the Wye Valley. Most comfortable rooms, great bed and bathroom as well as two downstairs lounge areas for the guests. There was also a choice of eating establishments nearby. Also great hosting by Lynda.

Very comfortable and enjoyed my stay. Room was clean. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Shower a little underpowered but adequate. The room faced the A40 road so some road noise but shutters excluded any disturbance. Breakfast room was delightful and I was offered tea and cake on arrival.

We were given a lovely warm welcome by Lynda who greeted us with tea and cake. The house is a fantastic historic building with lots of interesting quirks. Comfortable bed - great sleep, super shower, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice - everything you need in a home from home. Shame about the A40 but it didn't keep us awake....

Location is ideal for walking through the woods or along the river. Good pubs and restaurants close by. Well placed for canoeing. Well placed for driving to Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow etc The only downside is the traffic noise from the A40, although we did get used to that, and with the windows shut it pretty much disappeared. Extremely good breakfast....
