Great place with a lot of history. The food and drinks were excellent. Really good atmosphere and lovely nature. It's a bit of a drive, but its a beautiful and scenic drive, and it's worth it. Would recommend to tourist as well as locals, young and old, families or companies planning a trip together.

Very welcoming Bed and Breakfast at wonderful Tautra. They have brand new rooms (shared bathroom) in a separate building and more rustic rooms in the old farm building. They brew many kinds of really good beer (we tried the amber, the bitter, and the pale ale) and serve some great dishes for dinner (we can recommend the salmon and the...

My wife and I found our way over to Tautra via the causeway, compelte with automatic gate to keep the foxes off of the island. The farm is located adjacent to the ruins of an old monastry. We took a fast boat ride to this island paradise near Trondheim. The farm is built on the site of an ancient monastery which is a historical landmark.
