The cottages are comfortable. We booked late so our cottage did not have water views. The Lighthouse rd is very close so sounds of vehicles can be noisy. An outside light on the verandah would be a good idea & an insect screen on the front sliding door as you had to keep it closed due to mosquitoes.

My wife and I stayed a couple of nights at one of the Explorers cottages for our tenth wedding anniversary. The cottages have been renovated in recent years so good standard of presentation and appointments for kitchen, bathroom, etc. While we ate out for breakfast one morning, we were glad of the kitchen facilities on our last day. The area...

Basic and comfortable with a kitchen. 10 minute drive from the hotel. May have suited a family better. We spent the night on Bruny Island where as we should have returned to the mainland. So far the most expensive, but also the most basic accommodation of our holiday. The DVD player didn't work. Rang the ph.no. The next day and...

Online booking process easy as was check in process at Bruny Island Hotel. Received a warm welcome from Dave (a real island character!) and were given clear directions to the cottage. Water views of Daniel’s Bay greeted us, cottage was clean, light and modern. Sufficient space for 3 adults with everything you needed. Had an evening visit from a family...

we were 4 families staying in 3 cottages, The accommodation is clean except that the rugs had not been probably dusted out for years. All essential amenities were provided. The fridge in the second cottage that our friends stayed was not working but we could not be bothered to call the accommodation services. Instead we shared the fridges in the...

The place was really clean and tidy with a good supply of hot water. I'd give 5 stars just for that. But 3 of our families stayed 3 nights and there were some things lacking. One of the fridges were out of order. Considering you have to buy your own food due to the very expensive groceries on bruny, this...

Set among beautiful Australian bush this accommodation provides a welcome respite form the bustle of busy city life. Located on the "quiet" side of Bruny it is convenient to some of the beautiful walks on the island. It is half an hour to drive to the nearest shops at Adventure Bay. Kangaroos can be seen grazing on the grass and...

Lovely cabins that lend themselves to rest and relaxation. Build yourself a fire and just watch life go by with a wine or beer on the mini verandah. We were met by 4 ducks on our return from a cruise. Gave them muesli. What an Eden!! Good value for money. Close to great food and Oh! The scenery. Aroura Australus...

Well equipped cottage to call home, after a full day sight seeing and tasting all that's on offer on Bruny. I was so looking fwd to the smoked goods from BISH, but its now closed down. Check in is at the Bruny Hotel and then a 7km drive down the dirt road gets you to the small group of 6...

Maxy's by the Sea, Bruny The location and views were sensational, the beds warm and comfy, but that's where the good times end, unfortunately for us. The lack of basics in this holiday let did leave a lot to be desired. One measly firefighter, no kindling and wet wood outside - in the middle of winter - was not enjoyable...
