Stayed at the Sands for a few nights close to Easter. Apartments were well appointed and nicely decorated. Very clean. All amenities provided. Managed really well and owners very friendly. Best location right on the beach st Onetangi. Great Spot for families. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent a weekend here at The Sands as a family 4 adults and 2 children The apartment was fantastic with everything you needed. It's located right across the road from the beach which is very safe for children. The only thing being that you really need a car to go to nearby restaraunts and a supermarket. Otherwise the bus...

The views from our room were spectacular and the location is on Onetangi Beach. And what a spectacular beach. The room was clean and well appointed with very comfortable furniture. But sadly that's where it stopped. We were asked to not sit on the window ledge; I get that but who builds a window with the most spectacular view at...

Wow where do we start! On arrival the welcoming you get is non existent. Extremely unfriendly manager behind the desk. No friendly chit chat or conversation in general. We were warned to quieten down and close our windows and doors at 5pm on a friday. there were 3 couples sitting around the table drinking champagne. no music. no party. It...

Sorry you feel the need to attack us like this Kerryn You wanted to check-in at 9am that day and we were unable to help them with that as the previous night’s guests had not left yet. When your group returned at 330pm to check-in one of your party was quite obviously drunk. At check-in we require all guests to...

We stayed here for our wedding with a large group of our family and friends for our wedding on Waiheke Island. Luke and his team were super helpful both before and during our stay. The apartment we had was a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. It was spacious and clean and had all the amenities you could need for your...

We stayed in unit 4 for a week. We experienced once in 25 year rain for the first 5 days but the last 2 days were sunny which was great. The unit was 3 bedroom, one bathroom and extra toilet. I thought the layout of the apartment was great for a holiday set up. The kitchen wasn't too large which...

Firstly, the positives: A lovely location at the end of Onetangi beach. A short walk to two popular and great restaurants, Charlie Farley's and The Boat Shed. (Both these restaurants are much better value than some in Oneroa, plus a fabulous view). The room we had unit 6 had interrupted sea views. Fully self contained, with dish washer, oven, fridge,...

So sorry that you had to experience this Shane, Unit 6 had to undergo renovations before Christmas and we been unable to secure a builder to finish the small details, Fair enough that this was not up to standard. We wish that you had told us of these problems at the time with the bed feeling uncomfortable, the smell, the...

The location on the strand in Onetangi was great- the mosquitos were not so great. The apartments are in a quieter location on the island but the bus stop was a very short walk from the complex. The beach by the apartments was calm and peaceful with minimal people. My husband and I used the bus to go around Waiheke....

Just spent a week at The Sands in a 3 bedroom sea front villa. It was perfect in terms of comfort, amenity and location. The main bedroom was wonderful with lots of space and roomy en suite and a perfect view over the beach. The other two bedrooms were a little pokey and had no view, but they were only...

A friend who lives on Waiheke recommended The Sands to me. She said: "you can't go past it- because the spacious apartments and villas are just metres off the BEST Waiheke beach- Onetangi. The views are stunning. The layout and fitout of each apartment is fantastic. The complex mangers are really good sorts" BEST advice ever! The location is incredible....
