We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We chose it for its location of being close to family in Leuchars but primarily because it was dog friendly. We didn’t on this occasion use the golf facilities.
We stayed in a room in one of the lodge buildings which was ideal as it was next to the golf course and ideal for dog walks or just letting him out supervised to do his business! The room was comfortable and clean and with all the essentials needed for a mini break.
The breakfast in the hotel was very good some days buffet and some days ordered from the menu. We ate an evening meal in the hotel several days and whilst the menu choice is not extensive the food was good quality and value. With having the dog all our meals were in the bar area which was fine for us as you have lovely views over the golf course and it was very relaxed.
All the staff were friendly and helpful providing a great level of service. We would definitely come back and stay again here.
A good location for exploring St Andrews, Dundee, Carnoustie & many beaches on this coast

Just had 2 nights with golf at the hotel with 6 friends & I cannot praise the staff enough.
We arrived early Friday morning with golf booked for lunchtime & they went above & beyond to get our rooms cleaned & available for us, which they did. Lorraine, Val, Siobhan & the lady who cleaned the rooms were great so thank you.
The breakfast, bar food & evening meal were all very good & everything was reasonably priced.
Thanks Drumoig for your help in making our first Scottish golf trip very memorable & we’re all looking forward to returning one day.

Drummoig Golf Hotel is really conveniently located between Dundee and St. Andrews and our room had gorgeous views over the golf course and lakes. We had a car for our trip, which we were able to park right at the entrance to the lodge that our room was in. However, there is also a bus stop a very short walk away with regular bus service into both Dundee and St. Andrews. Most of the rooms are located in one of the three lodges, which gives the place a nice, cozy feel. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced too.

This hotel is basic and functional but is severely lacking in staff.
With golfers being catered for with food and drink, we as residents seemed to be put at the back of the queue.
We had intended having an evening meal but because of the lack of confidence both in front of house and kitchen, we ate elsewhere.
The lodge style rooms are basic but clean, akin to a superior Travel Lodge.
Breakfast was passable with a few shortages on the buffet table, with cooked breakfasts being served from the kitchen.
It is pet friendly hence the reason we stayed there, but that shouldn't detract from the quality of the facilities or service.

Played again this excellent course which was in great condition considering the amount of rain over the past few days, course presented very well with the greens in great condition. On arrival the starter followed all the Covid rules with friendly advice, after a good pace of play considering how busy the course is we ventured into the club house for a bite to eat. We were met by two very friendly staff who again offered advice on the Covid rules, my wife and I had a great quality sandwich which was fresh and very well presented. Thank you to all the Drumoig team.

As we enjoy the venue we are considering joining 2021

We come to Drumoig restaurant on a regular basis and love the food, (6 of us) so we booked for the whole family (14 of us). Perhaps it was just a numbers thing but it was evident that the only bar attendant was trying their best to take orders and serve drinks and that there was only one chef in the kitchen. When the food eventually arrived which was far too long, 5 of the steak pies and 2 chicken burgers were over cooked. It was a bit embarrassing but my father in law was too gracious to complain knowing that there seemed to be staffing issues. If we knew this we would have booked else where. Nonetheless we will continue to come as the food is usually on par when ordering smaller amounts. I just wanted you to know that we wouldn't consider bringing a large number again.

We wanted to stay one night in St Andrews but all the hotels in town were booked. Drumoig Hotel is about 10 minutes from the main town and overlooks it's own golf course. Not St Andrews but it was pretty. Hotel is decent..slight above budget range. Rooms were decent and we had a hearty breakfast. Staff were attentive a s friendly. No complaints but don't expect 5 star

Played a 4 ball at ÂŁ25 per head. Course was a decent challenge, with good views, and greens that were good to putt on. Decent value. Had drinks and a meal in the Hotel, where service was very poor. Bar person eventually arrived and served us, with no hint of a friendly word or smile. Food took at least 30 minutes to arrive, though the pasta was excellent, but pakora should be avoided, like eating carboard. Entrance not very welcoming, needs an update, as do gents toilets

Stayed here over the weekend. Golf course was very good and in great nick. The predominantly young staff were very welcoming and did did a great job in looking after our party. Particular kudos to the young lady in reception, seems like she was an ever present in the 2 days we were there.
