We have just returned home after a 3 night stay at Pindari House. The owner, Monika is a most delightful lady, and she made us feel so welcome in her lovely home. The food was great, our room spotlessly clean and very comfortable. And we must of course, mention Lucy and Charlie, our two new 4-legged friends.

Thanks Monika for a wonderful stay, and we will be back again soon.

I In response to the previous review I would like to point out that I have been visiting Pindari House for 5 years and I have never had a problem with the owners dogs. They are the most sweetest gentle dogs you could ever meet. When I contacted the owner, Ms Banks, over this issue she advised me that you did not follow protocol in allowing the dogs to be properly introduced. I understand that your dog was picked up in a manner of a dog picking up its puppies, however, despite the advise of Ms Banks you attempted to wrench your dog from the grasp of the larger dog resulting in its injuries. Your allegations of accusing Ms Banks of being drunk would be highly unlikely given the fact that she organized access and drove you for some 20 minutes to the vet. On the basis that the vet said it was a superficial wound, I understand that Ms Banks is now introducing a 'No Pets' rule due to the direct result of this incident.

Had a girls weekend away in the Hunter Valley and stayed at Pindari House , champagne and cheese on arrival was wonderful after our drive then a loverly dip in the pool to really relax then an amazing meal cooked by our loverly hostess Monika. All slept well in our beautiful rooms after a port and home made chocolates then started the day with a full English breakfast ( yum ) . Pindari House is on beautiful grounds on the top of a hill with wonderful views, this is a wonderful place to stay for that special weekend away in the country.

One of the joys of B and Bs is the surprises that a guest experience each time a new little gem is is found.
Monika's home is a treasure trove of stories and ornaments that immediately evoke ones sense of curiosity and wonder. Fortunately, this beautiful hostess is a fabulous raconteur, and add colour to each of her items with truely interesting tales. To stay with Monika is like waling onto the set of conversations with Richard Fidler.

Rooms are generous and comfortable. Waking up in the Hunter Valley is an experience everyone deserves more than once in a lifetime.

Monika's knowledge of the local food and wine scene put us on the right path for our Hunter Valley exploring. Lots of great little places to enjoy and taste.

All of the above would have made our weekend, but there is one thing that sets this lovely lady in a class of her own. Monika is a bona fide chef with an elegant kitchen to match. The breakfast was included and had class, taste and panache. Dinners are at an optional cost, but rival anything a high end restaurant would serve. Our Chicken on the first night was to die for, followed by lavish desert. On the second night, we where treated to a five course German extravaganza. Don't miss this rare treat. Also, there are no driving hassles after dinner as you are already at your stay.

Yes Monika, you have raised the bar. Warm wonderful and tasty. We loved our stay at Pindari House.

We left Pindari House feeling like we had a truly gratifying experience of the Hunter Valley. What made our stay so great was the personal warmth, friendliness and overall attention to our needs and expectations.

Pindari House is a bed and breakfast in 10 acres of privately owned hunter valley countryside. We partook of all its amenities during our weekend stay including their outdoor swimming pool and patio with barbeque. This place is one of few that we could find that also allowed us to take our dog.

The establishment is run by an English lady (Monika) who catered for us like we were her own. We paid $140 per night for the Medley Suite which has its own entrance. The food was outstanding, breakfast was served at the exact time we asked for it. We had dinner there on the first night and were so surprised at the quality of what was served. Dinner was served by the poolside and was very romantic. Monika joined us for a glass (or more) of wine after dinner and was such great company (she is a very travelled lady).

We didn't need the use of the horse stables, or helicopter pad, but were pleased with the garage parking and the offers to drop us off at local attractions.
See the Pindari House website at ------, its just as worthy of a visit.

Pindari House is a wonderful and peaceful spot in the Hunter Valley; it truly was the perfect getaway location! On arrival you are instantly welcomed by Monica, and you immediately feel at home in this charming B&B. Monica had a plan of the Hunter Valley marked up for us when we arrived, with suggested vineyards and restaurants for us to visit which was a big help as we were on a tight time frame to get to Sydney for the fireworks. Pindari House has amazing surrounds, beautiful gardens which we enjoyed exploring with the help of Sasha, Bently and Honey! Our room was spotless and extremely comfortable, and the eggs Florentine were just incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and only regret that we could not stay longer...Highly recommend Pindari House if you want a nice peaceful relaxing place to stay.

We went on the basis of the other reviews and were sadly dissappointed as our experience was completely at odds with theirs. Similarly the website is far more promising than the reality.
Once there decor is late 70s or at best early 80s and rather delapidated.
Again I have to disagree with the other reviewers; the food we had was awful and I've not been able to face eggs Benedict since. Its all well-meaning but misfires on almost every count I'm afraid.

What a pleasant surprise this place is, not your usual bnb, it’s a gem of a find, and when you see the garden/pool/bbq - pergola /lounge bar (Monty's) area set amongst beautiful Australian fauna and flora, you will understand what I mean by oasis.

We were greeted with a big smile by the charming Monika and her two friendly, very well-behaved dogs, Sacha & Bentley, then shown to our lovely king size room, which opened out onto a courtyard, and taken on a tour of the place. Pindari House is very spacious, and has a quaint little country village feel to it, you could spend hours looking around at all the interesting pictures and collections.

Monika's hospitality is spot on, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne and a beer for my partner. We wanted some advice on restaurants and wineries to go to in the area and Monika steered us in the right direction, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the wineries she recommended we go to. A very nice touch on our return later that evening was a glass of port and homemade chocolates by our bedside.

Breakfast is yummy and we enjoyed it leisurely whilst chatting to the other couple of guests. A bonus to this place is there are only four rooms, all spread out, so you don’t feel overcrowded and it is not noisy. Another bonus is you can pre-order a meal if you don't fancy going out (which you might not once you get there!) and Monika will cater to your request.

Pindari House is a unique, special place and we are hoping to return for Xmas. Thank you very much Monika for your lovely hospitality and making our stay perfect.

As previously, our stay could not have been better (well, weather aside!). Monika is the bestest hostess and takes great care with the little things as well as the lovely ambience. The home is currently exquisitely decorated for Christmas. The breakfast is 'to die for' - not for the meek of heart! There are a couple of very friendly large dogs that roam the house, so I'd say not a place for anyone scared of our canine friends!
