Detailed Reviews
Elaine was very pleasant when I booked over the phone. She took my credit card number but said she would not actually charge me until I arrived. No cancellation fee, just her request that if I needed to cancel, to advise her as early as possible. She seemed very reasonable.
Only 9 rooms. Signage on the highway rather run down. The room was basic, an odd layout with the small TV way at the other end of the room away from the bed. The bed was good and I slept well with just a ceiling fan. No air conditioning, so this was a bit uncomfortable on the very hot nights I was there. Only bar soap provided, no shampoo, etc.
Nice location only 6 km or 6 min from Little Current. Quiet, hidden from the highway.
I stayed 4 nights. My bed was not made and only one indication that the room was even entered by the owner as a curtain was drawn back once. Towels were not changed during my stay. In fact, I never saw Elaine again.
Don't expect luxury, just the basics.

This motel is kept very clean, in a nice area near Little Current and the owners are very nice. Everything is very basic: no hairdryer, no air conditioning, no coffee pot or microwave in the room (although advertised in their flyers they are not avvailable) and only showers.
Very reasonably priced and for a one night stay this motel is very adequate!

Paradise was a clean and quiet place to stay on the island. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the motel isn't a truckers one.
The rooms have full sized fridges and coffee makers, and they loaned us a kettle on request. They also have a microwave and barbecue for guests to use.
They serve coffee and muffins free of charge in the mornings (if you want something more substantial, a camping park two minutes down the road does a weekend brunch buffet).
Downsides: the linens and towels are a bit worn out, and they don't provide any shampoo.

If you have a service dog don't even stop. The owner asked a lot of really rude and illegal questions about my service dog. He is silent, he wears a vest and has lots of patches to identify him. The lady asked her partner over and over if she HAD to let us stay. We looked at the room and it was outdated. The bathroom was small and if you have any issues with movement it's to small. The beds are old and uncomfortable, the rooms smell of old, must, cottage small. We did not stay and she was more than happy to see us leave because she did not want us and our dog there. She had her own dog that was going nuts barking and our service dog just ignored him. She was only going to let us stay because her partner told her she legally HAD to. She wanted to know why we had him, what he did etc. All questions that are illegal and rude. It is clear she does not understand what can and can not be asked in Canada about service dogs. Other people's health conditions are not her business.

This is a very clean and quaint motel close to all the "touristy" spots on this part of Manitoulin Island. While there was no air conditioning…who needs it in Northern Ontario. Our room had a refrigerator to keep our daytrip food cool. Fresh brewed coffee and yummy muffins were served in the motel office by Glen every morning at 7 a.m. The owners were also very familiar with the Island and gave us some great tips (and driving directions) to things of interest and great restaurants off the beaten path. Highly recommend staying here….come as a guest and leave as a friend.

My husband and I visited Manitoulin Island and came across The paradise Motel, we were amazed at how clean the rooms were and espreially how friendly the owners were. They have fresh coffee every morning and the best muffins! We had many interesting conversations with the owners and I fell in love with their dog Shadow. If you are looking for a clean quiet place to stay on the Island at a reasonable rate, stay at The Paradise motel and you won't be disappointed. Ken & Vicky

Our experience with the owners of the Paradise Motel is what made this motel so special. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
The furniture in the room was from a bygone era but it was in excellent condition and the room was super clean. The rate we paid was more than reasonable considering the competition. We really enjoyed our time on the Island for the Manitoulin Passage Ride. Staying at the Paradise Motel is just one of our happy memories!

Quite hospitable hosts, rooms are dated but clean and a nice relief after riding 67 kms.they had a garage to keep our bikes safe overnight.
Glen gave us a ride over to Batmans campground where we all had supper together. So that was greatly appreciated!

The place is extremely clean and very comfortable. The owners take pride in making sure that the place is well sanitized between visitors. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained. I highly recommend.

I travelled through on my motorcycle in July, 2016. Spent one night before catching the ferry to Tobermory. The owner was very nice and accommodating. This is a cozy Motel, clean rooms and peaceful setting. You will get a very good nights sleep here. Highly recommended; only 45 minutes to the South Baymouth ferry.
