Lovely well kept old house that suited our needs, especially the location. We had a room with an external entrance and could come and go as we needed. House surrounded by a beautiful well kept garden. The only negative was the bed! The mattress was too soft and caved in in the middle.

Hi Barbara, Thank you for your review, I always appreciate feedback. The kingsize bed is in fact two twin beds with a convertor joining them which would perhaps explain the "hollow" in the middle. However, I am sorry you found the beds too soft. Kind regards Cheryl Suter Chambery

We stayed 10 nights in the lovely cottage at Chambery and our expectations were exceeded! The cottage is very clean and comfortable and felt like our home away from home! It had everything we needed and a lovely pool! Cheryl was a most gracious host and nothing was too much trouble. Our son was completely in love with the 3...

What a brilliant place to stay. The self catering cottage was exceptional and had everything needed to make my stay comfortable. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. Will definitely stay here again. It is close to some fantastic places to eat as well as a supermarket to stock up on needed items.

Dear Costa, How very kind of you to write to Tripadvisor! I am so pleased you have enjoyed your stay and that it has been such a successful visit, you can't beat 'man of the match' well done to your son for this great achievement - much hard work behind the scenes. Wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas....

A wonderful stay-such a gorgeous cottage-beautifully decorated and surrounded by lovely gardens. Very comfortable and great location for local eats and to get to the city. Would thoroughly recommend to friends and family.

We stayed at Chambery over a long weekend but the cottage is so well equipped, neat and spacious that one could live there permanently. The setting is very peaceful yet it is easy to get to the major roads that lead to all the Cape Town attractions. Cheryl could not have been more hospitable or helpful.

I stayed at Chambery for two nights. It is an excellent place to stay. By far the best place than the others I stayed in cape town. I stayed in the loft room with breakfast included.
