What can we say about this charming place. We arrived late due to heavy traffic in the UK but Emmanuelle waited up for us and was as pleasant in the evening as she was in the morning. Our only sadness is that we weren't there long enough. I'm a bit of a fuss pot when it comes to beds and...

We and two friends just stayed for a weekend in this lovely chateau not far from Rheims, two and half hours drive from Calais.. If you fancy staying somewhere quiet in the Champagne area, you should very much consider staying here. The chateau currently only has two very nice en suite rooms (decorated within the last year. A third room...

Only booked for 1 night as a stop over while driving South but would have loved to had the chance to stay longer. Young hosts live in the Chateau with their family and you share their home. Fabulous rooms, nicely decorated, fabulously comfortable bed and brilliant bathroom. Lovely view of vineyards from bedroom window. Great breakfast in very grand old...

Room was lovely and well appointed. The chateau was fantastic. You are made to feel really welcome. Good position. Walking distance to village with nice restaurant and a walk through vineyards 5 minutes away. Good breakfast served in a fabulous dining room. Cosy lounge to sit in the evening and local champagne can be purchased to drink! Would definitely return.

What a great find! We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, Sophie & Alain, to this spectacular chateau. The house is filled with antiques, collectibles and objets d'art which gives it a unique character and feel. Our room was comfortable, quiet and warm with views onto the gardens. We paid €100 for one night which included a substantial breakfast of...

My husband and I (from California) stayed here and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! Sophie and Alain were fabulous hosts--they were more than happy to chat and fill us in on the truly fabulous history of not only the region but of that acutal chateau (I won't give away all of the details, but will say...

Some 20 minutes or 12 km north of Reims, Sophie Meunier and her husband, Champagne dealers, offer a peaceful retreat in their private home, the small but cozy historical Chateau d´Hermonville. The mansion, nearly destroyed in WW I, is decorated with great diligence and taste, and you feel welcome and at ease immediately. The hosts (Ms Meunier speaks English and...
