We visited this pub as we have passed may times and never called in so thought it was time we did. Firstly we were unsure if the pub was open. It was,the pub was very dated and run down. The chap who greeted us made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. We looked at the menu which referred to...

Stayed at the campsite as walking Offa's Dyke. Had evening meal at the pub and it was excellent. Both landlord and landlady extremely friendly and helpful. Basic facilities for campers but adequate. Camping was in the beer garden but as it was wet very quiet.

Just a brief visit. Host was very welcoming indeed, and the breakfast (I was the only visitor, it was in the depths of January) was also UK. Honestly though, apart from the price, I thought I was reliving the mid-1970s.

My partner, friend and myself stayed here very recently while walking Offa's Dyke. The service we received was excellent. I rang the hotel to explain we would be arriving well after the time they stop serving food but the owner was still willing to offer us a few things off the menu. The food was delicious! The place itself was...

Staying here proved to be an interesting experience. I was able to check my luggage in early so that was a good thing. On my return I was given a nice welcome by Karen. I then had a question so not wanting to invade their private quarters I rang the bell. By the time they had come down to see...

We were a party of 5 staying here for one night before visiting Powis Castle the following day. Upon arrival we found our rooms to be ready and clean. I had a nice big room with twin day beds and lovely views over the surrounding area, The bathroom was extremely small but with an electric shower the hot water was...

This is the second time we have been able to enjoy the hospitality of Rob & Karen , by having the same room it was like going home & made even nicer on our return one evening to find a xmas tree had been placed in one of the bedroom windows. The "plumbing" noises reduced us to giggles on one...

The bathroom was a little small but served its purpose well. We arrived at the hotel late on Thursday night (21.00) all meals had finished but the landlady...

Our one night here was booked at the last minute to split the journey elsewhere. Arrived to warm welcome by Mrs Williams who was consistently pleasant and helpful. It is noted by rob in his responses that this is more like a b&b with a bar and restaurant, which seems right. Evening meal was plentiful but shame no veggie main...

Hello and thank you for your feedback on your recent stay. Vegetarian meals are always available on request. I am sorry you didn't ask, as being the chef I can always cook special veggie meals. It helps to know in advance but 3 main meal options are usually on offer. I do not consider fish as a veggie option. We...

We stayed a night walking on offa's dyke - its a pub with rooms and its like most other pubs with rooms we have stayed at - a certain type of decor, ensuite in a shoe cupboard, but welcoming - and rather empty…they are keen on music and if thats your thing you would fit in well. Good fish and...
