Six friends on motorcycles absolutely enjoyed the VERY CLEAN, comfortable cabins with decks overlooking the clear water lake. The beds were comfortable and cabins spacious. Beautiful property with a beach & lots of water sport equipment to use. You definitely don’t need to fish to enjoy this piece of heaven. Hosts Kathy & Rob ensure all guests are comfortable and that all their needs are met. They are friendly, efficient and maintain the property beautifully. Although the lodge was not open this year due to COVID19, we had an opportunity to look at it as well as their menu. Next time we visit in 2021, hopefully the lodge is operational as I expect we’ll be enjoying some meals and libations at the lodge which is spacious and features a nice patio area too. There are RV sites right on the water with an ideal view of the falls and a long dock. We’ll be back in 2021!

I had the pleasure of visiting waterfalls in early July following the loosening of restrictions in Ontario surrounding covid 19. An elderly neighbour had gone annually for over a decade with his long time fishing partner who unfortunately passed on. He always spoke highly of the resort when talking fishing and he asked my wife and I if we would accompany him and we are forever grateful that we did. Upon arrival the hosts/owners Kathy and Rob immediately recognized our friend and welcomed him with the kind of reception you only receive from hardworking, humble and genuinely caring people. The accomodations we were provided were super clean and all ammenities available. The boats provided are cared for and in immaculate condition allowing us to feel comfortable in exploring the multiple lakes available for guests to access. The fishing was incredible and included bass, pike and walleye in good numbers some of which were trophy size including a new PB for myself on the fly and my wife on terminal tackle. The scenery and tranquillity made the trip even better than I had hoped including the osprey my friend had talked about repeatedly, beaver dams and a beautiful island pull off for a swim... not to mention the fact that our stay coincided with a taping of the new fly fisher tv program at the resort where Rob took the time to offer me the opportunity to meet and watch Jenna cast in real time. What an experience, even in adverse winds the skill was incredible. The options for guided day trips are worth consideration as Rob and his crew are top notch guides with a ton of experience. I dont make a habit of posting reviews on the internet but in this case I feel a sense of obligation based on my experience. Great people, great cabins, great scenery and a great time had by all. Thanks again Kathy and Rob, its awesome to know there are still people out there who take great care and concern for the value of their guests money and time. We look forward to returning next year and I would recommend waterfalls to anyone looking for the perfect combination of everything I mentioned above that gets harder to find as time goes on in my opinion. Sum it up? Worth every penny, truely memorable trip!

My wife and I recently spent a week @ Waterfalls Lodge in Spanish Ontario. We regularly rent a cottage for a week or so every summer in Ontario but this was our first experience at a fishing lodge. I love to fish and my wife is a great sport about it and joins me but I was uncertain as to whether or not a 'fishing lodge' would be a little much for her. Boy, was I wrong... When we arrived, Kathy (co-owner) welcomed us, checked us in and even escorted us to our Deluxe Cabin. When they say 'Deluxe' they mean it! 2 bedroom cottage with a kitchen, living room, very nice bathroom/shower. The cottage had satellite TV & Air conditioning... Bring your food/drink clothes & fishing gear and you're good to go. The cottage sat facing Lake Denvic, approx. 15 ft to the waterfront. Has a full length deck (45 ft long or so) and a screened in Gazebo (fully furnished of course) so you could sit out in the evenings and enjoy the cool lake breeze.. Also comes with a propane BBQ and for those of you who enjoy campfires, you have you're own fire pit, firewood included at no cost. We opted for the fishing package that included a 16 ft Starcraft with an Evinrude 25 hp and many other features. When you meet Rob (the other half of the ownership team) he gave us a complete orientation of the boat and it's safety features. He spent considerable time with me going over the lake maps (you have access to 5 different lakes to fish from) the marker system to avoid underwater obstacles and landmarks so you always had the sense that you knew where you were going and more importantly, how to get back! He'll also keep you up to date with what the successful fisherman are catching, where they're catching them and with what. The grounds are beautiful, well kept and spaced fro privacy. You don't hear your neighbors at night, very quiet and private. And now, the best part, the fishing. We fished everyday and many days we went out on the water several times. Not once were we skunked, always managed to catch something. My wife and I both caught person best Smallmouth's and Walleyes. My wife in fact managed to land a trophy smallmouth bass, 18+ inches long! Our first trip to a fishing lodge was everything and more we could have imagined. We'll definitely be returning to Waterfalls Lodge for another visit with Kathy and Rob. Fantastic hosts, if you need something just ask. Forgot to mention BTW that they have a store right on the premises with Ice, snacks and live bait and fishing tackle. If you're a novice fisher person, they'll give you all the advise you need to ensure your success.. They offer fishing guides services as well that would be happy to take you out and show you the ropes, prices were very reasonable. All in all folks, if you're looking for a get away for the family or with friends you have to check out this resort, approx 5 hrs north west of Toronto. Have a look at their website, very well laid out and has all the details and photos you need to help you make your decision. Kathy & Rob, thank you both for a wonderful week, we'll be seeing you both again! Cindy & Bob G

My teenage sons and I had the pleasure of enjoying the incredible natural beauty, amenities and hospitality of Waterfalls Lodge last week. Both Kathy and Rob patiently took my calls and questions, before our trip. I am grateful for their understanding and guidance. Honestly, their unmatched customer service and honest advice made our stay perfect. Waterfalls Lodge came very highly recommended and it was an easy drive from Toronto. My sons and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cabin (gazebo, deck, deck furniture, BBQ, satellite TV, everything you could possibly need or want) all the resort amenities are included in the price. Sauna, pristine lake beach, outdoor furniture, kayaks, hydra bikes, fire pits, wood and fire starter, canoes, paddle boat, good quality fishing boat, convenience store. etc., were all included!!! The property is very clean and well maintained. The beautiful lakes, great fishing, world class amenities and the incredible customer service makes Waterfalls Lodge a definite repeat. It’s only a short 5 -10 minute drive to local convenience stores, bank, restaurants and LCBO,. We caught dozens of big fish. Northern Pike, Walleye, Small-Mouth Bass and other varieties are easily found in any one of the many nearby and interconnected lakes. I recommend this location to anyone who wants to enjoy some peace and quiet, the great outdoors including fishing, hiking, swimming in freshwater lakes.

I brought my son up to Waterfalls Lodge, for some much needed "Father Son time." I chose Waterfalls because of all the great reviews & all the amenities they had to offer. Rob and Kathy operate a Five Star fishing retreat. We opted for the American Plan food option. All I can say is, let them do the cooking & you go fishing! Kathy has an amazing staff of cooks & friendly servers. The meals were delicious and well prepared. If you have any allergies, rest easy. My son was gluten intolerant & they took every step to insure his meals were delicious & gluten free, including the great chocolate cookies Kathy got for him.I would post pics of all our meals, but T/A has limits on how many you can post. I will try to add them on their Facebook page. Salute to Deb, one of our great servers. She had amazing Jukebox Oldies music playing while she worked. Thanks Deb! We also did a 4 hour guided tour with Al, and the 8 hour ATV trip to Horseshoe Lake with Jerome. Both of these guys were great!! They were fun to be with & know where the fish are. There are many cabins to choose from. We stayed in #19, which was absolutely over the top. Everything you need, with a nice Gazebo and deck with a BBQ grill. The beds and furniture were very comfortable & there is heating or air conditioning, which we did not need either for our stay. Their modern boats are perfect to cruise around on the chain of seven lakes. Equiped 25HP motors and electric live wells to keep the fish fresh. Very economical on gas too. The shore lunch was one of our favorite things. Everyone meets on one of the pre selected islands for a tasty meal of fried Walleye, Potatoes, Beans & Coleslaw. Kathy made sure to fry my sons Walleye first, so it wouldn't come in contact with the wheat breading from the rest of the fish. The "Meet & Greet" night was also a fun time to talk to the other guests, with drinks and a large assortment of delicious snacks courtesy of Rob & Kathy. I will sum it up with this: if you are looking for the perfect family or friends getaway, wether you fish or just to be together away from the rest of the world, look no further than Waterfalls Lodge. My son & I made some great memories that we will treasure forever, and that is something you cannot put a price on. We ended up with 3 trophy Smallmouth Bass. Thank you Rob & Kathy & the entire staff at Waterfalls Lodge!!
