I had the pleasure of visiting waterfalls in early July following the loosening of restrictions in Ontario surrounding covid 19.
An elderly neighbour had gone annually for over a decade with his long time fishing partner who unfortunately passed on. He always spoke highly of the resort when talking fishing and he asked my wife and I if we would accompany him and we are forever grateful that we did.
Upon arrival the hosts/owners Kathy and Rob immediately recognized our friend and welcomed him with the kind of reception you only receive from hardworking, humble and genuinely caring people. The accomodations we were provided were super clean and all ammenities available. The boats provided are cared for and in immaculate condition allowing us to feel comfortable in exploring the multiple lakes available for guests to access.
The fishing was incredible and included bass, pike and walleye in good numbers some of which were trophy size including a new PB for myself on the fly and my wife on terminal tackle.
The scenery and tranquillity made the trip even better than I had hoped including the osprey my friend had talked about repeatedly, beaver dams and a beautiful island pull off for a swim... not to mention the fact that our stay coincided with a taping of the new fly fisher tv program at the resort where Rob took the time to offer me the opportunity to meet and watch Jenna cast in real time. What an experience, even in adverse winds the skill was incredible.
The options for guided day trips are worth consideration as Rob and his crew are top notch guides with a ton of experience.
I dont make a habit of posting reviews on the internet but in this case I feel a sense of obligation based on my experience. Great people, great cabins, great scenery and a great time had by all. Thanks again Kathy and Rob, its awesome to know there are still people out there who take great care and concern for the value of their guests money and time. We look forward to returning next year and I would recommend waterfalls to anyone looking for the perfect combination of everything I mentioned above that gets harder to find as time goes on in my opinion. Sum it up? Worth every penny, truely memorable trip!

Stayed at various resorts in the area and tried this one a few weeks ago for the first time. One word to summarize our stay is perfection. Minnows are available at the lodge at a great price which is super convenient, and on top of that they are kept in a special solution that makes them very active (little or no acclimation required when dropping them into the lake). Boats are comfortable and easy to operate and they start automatically when you press a button.

We got the dinner plan and it was fabulous.. every meal is super delicious and if you are fishing and miss a meal they will deliver it to your cabin. The cabins are well kept and very comfortable, plus each boat has a separate dock and the lake front cottages have their own private dock which makes it really special. If you need groceries its just a 5 minute drive into town and you can get everything you need.

Fishing was fabulous.. we found a spot on our second day and after that we caught fish every single day. We also caught a trophy 19 inch small mouth bass!!! There is pike, walleye, and small mouth bass in the lakes.

Needless to say we will be coming again next summer.

Six friends on motorcycles absolutely enjoyed the VERY CLEAN, comfortable cabins with decks overlooking the clear water lake. The beds were comfortable and cabins spacious. Beautiful property with a beach & lots of water sport equipment to use. You definitely don’t need to fish to enjoy this piece of heaven. Hosts Kathy & Rob ensure all guests are comfortable and that all their needs are met. They are friendly, efficient and maintain the property beautifully. Although the lodge was not open this year due to COVID19, we had an opportunity to look at it as well as their menu. Next time we visit in 2021, hopefully the lodge is operational as I expect we’ll be enjoying some meals and libations at the lodge which is spacious and features a nice patio area too. There are RV sites right on the water with an ideal view of the falls and a long dock. We’ll be back in 2021!

My teenage sons and I had the pleasure of enjoying the incredible natural beauty, amenities and hospitality of Waterfalls Lodge last week.
Both Kathy and Rob patiently took my calls and questions, before our trip. I am grateful for their understanding and guidance. Honestly, their unmatched customer service and honest advice made our stay perfect.
Waterfalls Lodge came very highly recommended and it was an easy drive from Toronto.
My sons and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cabin (gazebo, deck, deck furniture, BBQ, satellite TV, everything you could possibly need or want) all the resort amenities are included in the price. Sauna, pristine lake beach, outdoor furniture, kayaks, hydra bikes, fire pits, wood and fire starter, canoes, paddle boat, good quality fishing boat, convenience store. etc., were all included!!! The property is very clean and well maintained.
The beautiful lakes, great fishing, world class amenities and the incredible customer service makes Waterfalls Lodge a definite repeat.
It’s only a short 5 -10 minute drive to local convenience stores, bank, restaurants and LCBO,.
We caught dozens of big fish. Northern Pike, Walleye, Small-Mouth Bass and other varieties are easily found in any one of the many nearby and interconnected lakes.
I recommend this location to anyone who wants to enjoy some peace and quiet, the great outdoors including fishing, hiking, swimming in freshwater lakes.

I wanted to take my 12 year old grandson on his first real fishing trip and after looking at reviews and watching a fishing show with Mike Miller and his daughter I decided on Waterfalls Lodge. We just came back after 6 fantastic days at this amazing place.
We had a cottage on the lake with our own dock and a perfect view of Tube lake. The cottage was well maintained and had everything one would need, such as fridge, stove, microwave and dishes. I decided on the American Plan and am truly glad that I did, the food was delicious, breakfast and dinners were in the main lodge and was like eating a home cooked meal every time, I highly recommend this option. In addition they make you a packed lunch to take out on the boat, which was perfect. My grandson..and I ate like kings. The lodge has the right atmosphere and decor that you would expect and want in such a place, it made us feel comfortable.
There is a really nice beach area with lounging chairs and all the toys for fun in the water, great for kids and adults alike, great place for swimming.
You have access to 5 lakes so the area for fishing is huge. The lakes all have trophy Smallmouth, Walleye, Pike and Lake Trout. We went out with one of the guides, Bruce, one morning and he put us on to some Walleye right away and then some nice Smallies. Most importantly he imparted his knowledge of the lakes and what works to catch fish, as a fisherman on a new lake this information is indispensible and again I would recommend this. The next thing we did was go out with another Guide, Jerome, and travel by ATV to a back lake for a days fishing. The day out was something that my grandson...and I will never forget, the lake we fished was an absolute jewel, the fishing was non-stop. I am not sure what my grandson liked more, the fishing or the hour long ATV ride to the lake, either way it was a great time, Jerome knows his stuff and had us on fish all day long.
The thing that stands out above everything else is the service! Rob and Kathy are outstanding hosts and it is their personal attention to everyone that really makes this place go. The staff are all friendly and helpful no matter where you are, be it at the lodge, the store or anywhere on the grounds.
Thank you to Rob, Kathy and all the staff at Waterfalls Lodge for giving my grandson and I some great memories that will last a lifetime. Dan Nielsen

It's a beautiful location with access to 5 lakes, which are linked, and additional 2 that can be walked to. The water is pristine, boat traffic was light, not a crowded lake. Fishing was ho hum, but it's tough to say why. Cabins and restaurant were clean. Staff very friendly and willing to help. Food is plentiful, but mediocre for the cost. Due to unfortunate circumstances, we arrived a day late. We accepted having to pay for that missed day, but we weren't happy having to pay for meals that we didn't get. Upon arrival, tired and hungry after 7 hours on the road, we were directed to a restaurant some 15-20 minutes away, as no food could be made available mid afternoon. Would not recommend the American plan, cook your own. Overall, we left feeling that we didn't get a real 'Bang for our Buck'.

To Rob & Kathy

Myself and my best friend from Vancouver came for a full week, July 9 to 16, 2022.
We selected the American Plan for our stay.
Our stay during the week had many memorable meetings with various staff in many of your departments. All of them without a doubt are very polite, professional and easy to speak with.
Rob & Kathy are the great leaders and their staff cherish their views and work ethics too.

The food is what we did not expect, all freshly cooked and prepared the evening before and the day of. We do not have any favourite dishes, they all good especially the deserts. There was also an island lunch fish fry fully catered by the Waterfalls Lodge owners.

Having a boat and motor of our own to use anytime allowed us to fish for about 8 hours everyday for 7 days. We fished from 9 am to 2 pm and 630 pm to 9 pm. We were never skunked, in fact we caught 2 trophy sized large mouth bass. One was 19” and 19.5”. In addition, to this we caught a giant pike that broke the line after a fight and getting the fish close to the boat. They have bait, lures, etc at the location. There is a draw for those who catch a bass, walley/pickerel, or pike over a certain size.
The catch and release program will continue to allow for great fishing as the years go on.

The cabin that we had, cannot be forgotten as it was amazing. Very clean, no bugs, in excellent shape, and you can tell it is very well maintained. Our cabin had air conditioning too.

Our deepest thanks go to Rob, Kathy, and the staff for making our trip one of the most memorable fishing trips.

Thank you,

Jeffrey Makimoto & Rob Van Bemmel

In 2019 I bought a bear hunt. The bear hunt was scheduled for the fall of 2020. Covid hit the bars were closed even last year and try to get my money back I was told each year know you can come back next year so I never got a refund I just try to schedule the bear hunt for this fall since the borders are now opened are expected to be open again they will not honor my $500 deposit. This place is a rip off if they're going to lie and deceive you about this what else do they line deceive you about.

This is a beautiful, clean fishing lodge. Boats were in excellent condition with fish finders included. Lakes are pristine and fishing was very good. Stayed in Cabin 16 which was a great log cabin right at the falls. Very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. Rob was very helpful in getting us out to fish with a very detailed map.
Hope that we can stay longer on a future trip. Would definitely recommend this lodge.

Rob and Kathy are amazing hosts, always ready to help and they have thought of every detail to ensure your stay is memorable and great! The fishing was out of this world! All the staff on site were always so friendly. The food was amazing, especially Friday steak night! The beach was great to hang out and go swimming. There are many water toys for kids and adults. I thought the fishing was good, you do have to get to know the lake. Look for beaver dams and use night crawlers or minnow I found them to work the best for Walleye & Small Mouth Bass. This place is amazing and so are the people. We went in July, I hear that the very best time is actually in June for Walleye. We went on the ATV day trip to Horseshoe lake that they offer it is a remote lake and the smallmouth bass were amazing.
