This B&B is a bit of the beaten track with not much in the surrounding area to do or see, but it is a great base if you want to stay close to Newport, Cardiff or Bristol but don't want to stay in a city and prefer a more rural setting. The rooms are contemporary and clean and tastefully decorated....

I stayed her for one night whilst on business in the area. The Old barn is a firm favourite amongst my colleagues so much so that everyone bypasses the company policy of booking hotels in order to stay here - I can see why. First things first, they say first impressions are everything and upon reaching the hotel, I was...

Always had good meals here years ago but not been for quite sometime. So took friends yesterday while out for the day with them for something to eat. Waitress gave us the 'Lite Bite' menu available 12.00 - 7.00. We each had three courses for £14.50 per person. Each course was a very good sized meal. Desserts...so much to choose...

Just had our wedding last Friday and where do I start! Everything was just excellent and I have got to hand it to Jackie (owner & wedding planner) that nothing was to much trouble. Jackie and her staff were outstanding from start to finish. The venue was perfect and beautifully prepared for our special day. The wedding breakfast was outstanding...

We attended a family wedding and found the room to be spotless, very comfortable bed and plenty of room for our childs camp bed. The staff were fab throughout the day and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the breakfast choice was superb. Even our 5 year old son said it was the best hotel in...

When I arrived I had a no hassle check in, dropped my bags in my room and promptly ordered some food.... It was ok, nothing special, the chorizo didnt really taste like...

Had a family meal here at the end of May and we all enjoyed our meals. After looking through the menu I decided to opt for the Early Bird menu. Choice of 1, 2 or 3 courses for set prices. I had the Steak and Ale Pie and there was more than enough on the plate, I just couldn't leave...

Stayed four nights recently to attend a relatives wedding, and from check in to check out I could not fault any part of our stay. There are not too many rooms, so service is quite personal. It started off life as a pub/restaurant and has been refurbished and lovingly developed by the present owners with a hotel block added in...

I stayed here this week and was very happy with my stay. Unfortunately due to work I only managed one breakfast but it was very good with very friendly service. The evening meals were generous portions and very tasty and good value. There was a good selection of beer in the pleasantly busy bar and service was speedy. The room...
