Stayed Monday night on golf break with my son-dinner bed & breakfast plus two rounds of golf on iconic Celtic Manor courses (Montgomerie & Roman Road) for £81 each-what a deal!! Hotel very comfortable, dinner excellent & breakfast very good-only issue was heating in hotel on Monday night which didn't work-was a bit cold to say the least! Didn't detract... More

We stayed for 3 nights over Christmas, very friendly and helpful staff, everything was lovely and clean. foyer is beautifully decorated with massive Christmas tree! only thing I would say is our room's décor was quite dated and probably in need of a refurb to match the room with the rest of the hotel, however was perfectly clean. also no... First the good points, great leisure facilities, pleasant staff, breakfast is pretty good. There is parking and my room was a decent sized. All that is hard to live with when you are in the gap between several major roads and the constant traffic roar is horrendous all through the night. They need triple glazing. They are also being refurbished and... More

I stayed there for 2 night 28th & 29th October on a dinner, bed & breakfast deal. The first night our meal was beautiful and service good. Breakfast was ok too, not brilliant but edible. Saturday was a whole other story ... first my daughter was given cold soup then my daughter and I had the fish crumble again (we'd... More

Recently visited this usually great hotel, but after booking in to a refurbished bedroom at extra cost,I could not believe what they have deemed an improvement! When it was a Hilton hotel, the room had a separate bathroom, with door partition to the wash hand basin, just opposite the basin was the room wardrobe with mirrored doors,so if someone was having a bath or... We got the impression that this hotel is going through an update. Great staff but tired areas to the building. Sauna and Swimming pool were excellent. Selfish, loud and boorish wedding party spoiled a quiet Saturday evening. But that is not the fault of the hotel.

Front desk were absolutely brilliant and the room was nice. The bar and restaurant were shocking, young boys with no experience. Slow poor service. Waited 45 mins for food and it was not what we ordered. The entire restaurant of guests were complaining Ruined my husbands 40th treat

I stayed here recently on a dinner bed and breakfast deal, I arrived around 8-30 pm, there was no one on reception, I waited and waited, a reception staff member arrived and dealt with a couple who were looking for their hotel, not this one, and continued to find their hotel on her computer, getting directions etc., she made no... We stayed several times here before it was bought by the Celtic Manor. There are a few teething troubles. For example, breakfast service is a little slapdash, not enough servers and too slow to clear tables. In the hotel, carpets are frayed and bathrooms need a refit. But some rooms are being refurbished. Prices, however, will probably go up when... More

We recently spent a night here as a family so had booked one of their executive family suites. The hotel is still going through room refurbishment so only certain rooms have been updated. We were in one of the original rooms which was an excellent size - 2 large double beds with a nice size bathroom. Our only small gripe... More
