Well run family RV Resort, that has everything you would need. Great beach for the kids, the dog park has its own pool, washrooms and showers are super clean. Price is a bit higher, but the service makes up for it. And garbage pick up and firewood are included. Wish we could of stayed longer. We'll be ready to book for next year in January.

my husband and I ( seniors) recently spent 2 nights in one of the cabins at Shamadon. it was our first time there, and we liked the fact that we only had a 1 hour drive to get there. our cabin was roomy but the beds were quite hard . We had privacy as we backed on to the bush. Lots of firewood was supplied with the cost which was $183.00/night ( including tax) We thought it was expensive. Paid that amount recently per night for rental of a full cottage. We brought our fishing poles, as we like to fish, but the fishing sucked. There was only 2 small docks on which to fish, and when we did get to the dock at supper hour ( as the kids went back to their sights) we did not catch one fish. The turtles in the pond devoured our worms. We did not see any fish caught at all. We were glad we only booked 2 nights, as we didn't know what else to do after the 2nd day. The pool was closed. There was lots at the camp for kids to do.

If you have money to burn then go ahead and visit this campground but it’s not a resort at all. This campground has nothing to offer but a large price tag at over a hundred dollars a night there’s absolutely nothing exceptional about this place, I’d rather visit Fisherman’s Cove it at least has amenities that are closer to a resort and worth the money. Beware as they have once again increased there prices and have offered absolutely nothing for the extra costs.

Camped at this gorgeous campground 3 times this season. I love how clean and well maintained everything is. Patrick is very friendly and works tirelessly picking up garbage we set out, filling our firewood boxes and everything else he has to do to keep this campground running. Even when full it is still quiet and peaceful. I know we will spend a lot more time camping at Shamadon.

This is the motto of Shamadon RV resort and it is absolutely accurate. Just a simple campground with some open amenities. While there is really nothing wrong with the park, it is certainly not worthy of the word resort. It’s officially the most expensive park we’ve stayed in in Ontario at over 100 a night and it’s not even 50 amp service. The upkeep is pretty nice and it has a very nice beach area at a swimming pond. But there were discarded cigarette butts over the beach and in our fire pit. The sites are extremely small and don’t offer much in the way of privacy. But the park provides free firewood as part of your stay. The large Rubbermaid bin is filled daily first thing in the morning and the firewood is some of the best we’ve seen. There is site side garbage pick up which is a nice amenity we wish more parks had, and the staff seem friendly and helpful. The hilltop sites offer some nice views and are away from the seasonal campers who tend to race around on golf carts making this a quieter area of the park and nice sunrise views over the children’s play area. Overall just an average park with an above average price tag so I don’t imagine we will return with other amazing options within a couple hours drive.

We camped here for our very first time when we bought our trailer a couple years ago and recommended it to everyone . We LOVED it ! This time we didn’t love it as much . Every time I called I had wonderful customer service , but when we arrived we had the absolute most miserable rude human being we have ever met . Has turned us off from returning . A gentleman that works there delivered peacock feathers to our girls which turned the experience around for sure . Our wood box was FULL of water snakes and the lot in general was full of gardener snakes . I realize when your camping there is going to be some wildlife but it was a little much :/. Our site was across the pool which wasn’t open due to covid (no ones fault of course ) but was difficult to explain to our 3 year old and 20 month old . So we tried to take them to the playground which was always full of big kids. A time limit sign of a half hour maybe would be nice so other kids can use it :). The beach is very nice and the seasonal as seemed friendly !

This is by far our favourite campground in Ontario. The park is always clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Patrick is there to greet you with a smile and he always remembers your name. Amanda is super friendly and happy. There is always something new every year. We can’t wait to go back every year

I have to first comment on one of the negative reviews on here. From John, who said he drove through the campground in June one day and it was only half full. You show me any campground in June that is half full, most are empty. As far as the campground being out in the middle of no where far away from anything, your camping!!!..What do you want to be close to any highways or citys for? A nice little town is only a 10 minute drive from the campground should you need it. Now to my review. I have been going to shamadon as a transient camper for many years. We wish we would have found it sooner. We have a 36 ft camper, and have camped on many different sites, and never had a problem maneuvering our trailer. Patrick is the most amazing host, he even introduced us to the owner which was a great honor for us. Patrick is so great, you feel like any problem you encounter he will be there to solve your problems. He does more then work there, he also becomes a friend while your there. If you want to pay for amazing service, this is the place. You pay one fee upon entering and thats it! Showers are free and so is the shampoo, conditioner and soap. Firewood is free, garbage pickup from your site, wifi,,shuffleboard, basket ball,,,all free free free. There are no hidden costs like at other campgrounds. Will be making shamadon our regular spot every year.

Great park. Unlike what someone that wrote falsely, park is big and geared for big trailers. Cement pads for most. Easy to maneuver in to your spot unless you can't drive. A little pricey but well worth it. Firewood and garbage pickup as well as full service and all facilities are included in the price. You get what you pay for and this is certainly one of the cleaner and better private campgrounds in Ontario.

We recently enjoyed four blissful nights at Shamadon. We were warmly welcomed and presented with a small arrival gift. Driving down the perfectly groomed, forest rimmed lane to our site we passed the peacock enclosure and several life sized statues including a rhinoceros and a Brahma bull. Just as we were about to drive right past our site, Patrick, the park overseer, beckoned us to the right spot! What a wonderful service! Over the next few days we truly enjoyed his immediate and friendly service. He takes great pride in Shamadon, and cares for this amazing property with enthusiasm and vigour. Well done Patrick! What a joy it is to see someone love their work. Now, back to the park...it is fairly small but offers many five star amenities. There is free Wifi throughout the park not just at limited locations. The showers are very good and offer plenty of hot water as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash in two varieties. Showers are included free of charge. Fire wood is placed inside water tight bins at each site and the supply of wood is replenished daily! Also free. Resort guests are asked to place their garbage and recycling beside their wood box daily and it is picked up almost immediately. There is a lovely walking trail and an amazing children’s playground. So, retired or young family this resort will not disappoint! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Thank you also to the resort owners who have graciously created a wonderful retreat for all of us to share and enjoy.
