Had another great visit at the Olive Branch in El Chorro. The OB has a great mix of social atmosphere (if you want) but you can just as easily have an early night and get a good sleep (ie not too noisy--not common in many hostels in Spain). Couldn't have had a better time, just need to figure out how...

The Olive Branch is a climbers and walkers paradise. Mel and Gary are so friendly that you feel at home immediately. The staff are all fun, the music is great and Tom makes a curry that's worth going to El Chorro just to taste it!! You meet really nice people there and the prices are unbeatable. Take care renting a...

The food is delicious and affordable whether it's Lasagne (home made pasta), Fresh baked sourdough bread, Thai curry, the food is always a labour...

We hired out the bunkhouse for a group of 12 for a ten day stay in early January. Everyone working at the Olive Branch was lovely, and seemed to be living the dream. The climbing around El Chorro is fantastic, and the knowledge of those working at the Olive Branch is incredibly useful for making the most of it (the...

I camped with my boyfriend and couldn't have been more pleased with the setting. There are just enough kitchens and bathrooms that even when full it is easy and convenient to shower or cook. There are some great quiet and noisy lounging spots, it's situated very close to the encantadas climbing area, and the proprieters were kind and helpful. I...

Just a quick note to say Jon and Chris the "wary bikers" stumbled on the O.B. website and decided to give it a go. What a great place and atmosphere. We arrived on two motorbikes and were instantly welcomed by Gary and Mel. We are walkers not climbers but that all changed when we met Roy the moustachioed guide and...
