We have been visiting the Emlyn Arms for many years now as a couple, with friends and for a family meal. The Emlyn Arms is a very friendly place and all staff are very helpful and welcoming. Food is tasty and of good quality, The Emlyn offers a steak and sweet night as well as 'Fish Friday which is very...

We stayed here with two friends for the night as we were celebrating my wife's birthday at the nearby Wrights. It is a great place to stay. The bedrooms are clean, well presented with nice views of the countryside. The breakfast was good; it was nice to be offered veggie sausages and the eggs were cooked just as we had...

We stayed here for a night on the way to the Carmarthen Flea & Collectables Fair. There are two rooms here in an annex opened in 2012. Our room (number 1) was well appointed including plenty of plug sockets (need loads of them these days), well heated and very clean. The bathroom had a nice power shower. We had dinner...

We had a holiday cottage in the village and went for the Wednesday evening Steak & a sweet for £10. Very good value. Food well cooked and tasty. Nice friendly service. Great log burner too. Highly recommend.

Poorly prepared food. Poor service. Long waiting time. Will not be going back. The real ale on offer had gone off. The cider on offer took ages to pour. The meal was split into two halves as the chef couldn't cope with a group of eight. The food was very bland and overpriced for what was served

A typical Welsh village roadside pub with good home-made food, good beer and good company. Renowned locally for cheesecake! Ideally located for visiting the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Heritage Garden and Carmarthen the county town of Carmarthenshire. I actually stayed in August 2015 but the options didn't go back that far so I plumped for September.

This very characterful pub in the delightful village of Llanarthney (near Carmarthen) is well worth a visit. The decor is very eclectic - partly oldy worldly beams and a pool table, mixed with statement wallpaper - the whole being spotlessly clean. The landlady, Mel, is very welcoming. She offers a typical pub menu with the food home cooked and therefore worth...

Service was excellent and the food was brilliant. Went on a Wednesday night and got steak and a treat for £10. Best £10 I've ever spent!! Nutella cheesecake just made my evening, absolutely perfect. Quite bad that I now go every other Wednesday, the staff can't do enough to help.

Had a wonderful night stay at the Emlyn Arms on the 7th May. They only have 2 rooms but they are extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and very quiet. The food was amazing we had a wonderful meal in the evening washed down with a couple of locally brewed pints, but be careful of the full english breakfast, which was also...
