If you need to find a friendly, clean, welcoming spot to unwind, Balm Beach Resort has it all! Clean, updated, reasonable rooms and a view of the beach from every patio chair. The beach is well maintained and only steps from your room. I loved being able take a short stroll to the local store for essentials or eat at a restaurant. The short drive to Midland or Penetanguishene is a bonus with lots to see and do. The owner, Mark, is friendly and welcoming and does an outstanding job to ensure his guests are happy!

perfect location! Thank-you for the amazing 2 weeks at your beautiful resort. My son and I loved it! Mark has struck the perfect balance of being an accommodating host without being Intrusive. Our clean and comfy unit came with a well-equipped kitchenette. Everything you need and literally 30 feet from a beautiful beach, and walking distance to go karting, mini putt, an arcade, restaurants, and sundry beach stores. The sunsets were stunning, and the warmth Mark brings to his resort makes you feel like your visiting family. We will be back!

Such a beautiful location on the beach, great for a peaceful beach getaway. Why go to Mexico and the Caribbean when you have this place?
I had an incident where my key was locked in my car with all my personal belongings and just short of pure panic, the owner and his friends jumped in and offered immediate assistance, going as far as getting roadside assistance on our behalf and ensuring that we were able to get into our car without breaking the windows. They were so welcoming and encouraging, I never had to panic... I am so grateful to these amazing people. I hope to see them when I visit this resort again soon!

Worst place I have ever stayed in my life, very very low end.

The room size was 6x8 and that includes a twin bed, an opening sofa for the kids a fridge a sink a microwave ( hot plate under the sink for all you cooks out there)--tiny and fulithy.

We also paid an extra 30 dollars for linen service which included him giving us the linen to make our own beds and 3 small low quality white gym towels - which were never changed for the whole 5 days!!

But , yes there is more...the water in the rooms are salty because they come from an abused water source -his cabin has normal water which has a faucet outside for u to use if u want to wash your dishes not in salty water.

So why is it called a resort and not what it really is which is a flee motel?

They have shuffle board - I am not kidding ....

In addition it is not on the beach but on the road which leads to the most busy parking lot of the whole balm beach area!! So we needed to hear all the cars, music, honking plus make sure our kids don't get run over by cars.

STAY AWAY

My family and I still cannot get over what a great time we had. We had such a unexpected great time we booked again.

Firstly, Balm Beach Resort is truly a place where you can relax and just enjoy! Balm Beach Resort has the ideal location, directly across the beach and close to the arcade and Go-Karts. Great place to go with your kids. The units are not the largest but they are so clean and the price is just right!

I never thought in a million years I would have liked it as much as I did. The owner truly makes you feel like you’re at home. Lit a bonfire at night, we roasted marshmallows and met some very interesting people. You can’t ask for anything more! It truly was a great vacation.

My friend and I were lucky to get a last minute room here when we called soon after they had a cancellation for the night. We realized later how lucky we were since they are usually booked for the summer, This property is right across the street from the beach and right in the middle of this cute tiny town of Tiny! The room was just right for a beach motel except that it was cleaner and quieter than most. Much care went into this one, right down to the blackout curtains in the room. The staff was great as well and good meals were a short walk from the hotel at the few establishments this town has. The beach itself is great. When we were there, there were no annoying speedboats or obnoxious boom boxes. The lake water was clean and cool - perfect for a hot day. The hotel operator even started a bonfire for us where we hung out and watched the stars, Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Most people book this place and stay for the week. Although I live far and was in this an accidental find, I hope to return someday.

I've added Balm Beach Resort and the tiny community of Balm Beach to my list of all time favourite local go-to's. Second year visiting, and owner Mark has always made us feel right at home. Everyone who visits, seems to return as he introduced me to guests who had be returning for decades. The rooms are clean and modern, ala "IKEA". Flat screen TV, wifi, water pressure, kitchenette and a view of the bay. Campfires nightly, though I've yet to be in time for one. A stones throw from a variety store, beach shop, ice cream parlour and retro arcade, and a very decent little bistro "The Surf". The motel is booked by the week, occasionally the month and if your lucky, a last night weekend. Nuf said, I'll be back.

There aren't enough great things we can say about our stay at the Balm Beach Resort. We spent an early October weekend here and while most of the attractions at Balm Beach were shut down and it was too cold to go swimming it didn't take away from how wonderful our stay at the resort was. The rooms are perfect for 2-3 adults (or could very easily fit a family with two children), the bed was super comfy and the kitchenette was stocked with everything we needed. The bbq facilities were the best I've ever used. Mark ensured that we had everything we needed and we had a blast hanging out with him at the bonfire.
It's not hard to see why so many people come back here year after year...a friendly atmosphere, great beach and excellent accommodations, it's the perfect vacation spot...we're planning to visit again next fall.

Stayed for a couple of nighs with our two kids. The room was extremely small for four people, the room had musty smell that would not go away, the air conditioner wad way too close to the inadequate kids' pull out bed, there were not sufficient number of cups and plates, and the beach was rocky. Definitely not the $100+ a night. Maybe we expected too much.
