We just finished our 5th visit to Rock Pine, and every year seems to be a better and better experience. We have stayed in cabins 2, 4, and 6, and they are all very similar, and comfortable enough. We had no problem sleeping after fishing hard every day. Shower stalls are really small, and hot water is at a premium. But it's all you need if you are going to fish. Since our last trip up, Jeff has made lots of improvements. The docks are all new, and the fish cleaning hut is awesome, and it's indoors so the mosquitos and black flies don't eat you alive if you're cleaning fish in the evening. The sunsets from the top of "the rock" are amazing. They have lots of other little toys to play with (canoes, wind surfing, paddle boats, beach, horseshoes, etc), but we were just there to fish. We take our own boat, but they do have boats with small motors that you can rent. And the new docks are plenty big enough to accommodate both (guest boats and Rock Pine boats). The best thing about Rock Pine nowadays, is Jeff. He always seems to be around somewhere, and is always willing to help you out. And on this trip I learned that letting him put your boat in or take it out with his tractor, is the only way to go. There aren't many places left in Pointe Au Baril to stay for fishing trips, but Rock Pine is top of the list.

Have been to Rock Pine twice now, after years of going to another resort that went out of business. The cabins are fine (we've stayed in #2 and #4.....2 has a better view and is closer to water), comfortable enough, and we slept like rocks after a hard days fishing. Shower stalls are really small, and hot water is at a premium. But it's all you need if you are going to fish. Their fish cleaning hut is awesome, and it's indoors so the mosquitos and black flies don't eat you alive if you're cleaning fish in the evening. The sunsets from the top of "the rock" are amazing. They have lots of other little toys to play with (canoes, wind surfing, paddle boats, beach, horseshoes, etc), but we were just there to fish. The boats have always worked fine, but the motors are a little small (15 & 20 hp). Jeff & Marci have only owned the place a year, but were friendly and left us alone to do our own thing. All in all, I recommend this place if you're going to fish. If you're after a family vacation with the kids, I can't speak to that one.

There were 8 of us that went fishing October 16-18 and we stayed in cabin's 3 and 4. It was our first time at Rock Pine since the other camp we used to go to closed. The cabins were really nice and we appreciated having the warm fire places after fishing all day in the cold and rain. Satellite TV was nice to have as well. Jeff and Marci were great hosts and left us alone to do our own thing. Boats were great and started every time. The fish cleaning hut was great, nice stainless steel table with lots of room and very clean. The pickerel fishing was a little slow this time but we caught enough for a feast and caught a few really nice pike as well. I would recommend this camp to anyone. We have booked again for next year.

The best Ice Fishing experience you will ever have, Stayed in the penthouse, which had more than enough room for 6 guys, the place was spotless. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. The fishing is amazing, even for novices you will catch a few. I can't wait to visit again next year, the best place i have stayed in northern ontario by far.

We only stayed a few days and wished we had stayed longer. Fishing is awesome, cottage was spotless, very laid back. We like to keep to ourselves, not in to sitting around a table sharing stories. Can't wait to go back. We stayed in the 1 bedroom. Perfect. Everything we needed was there. Highly recommend.

Very clean nice little cottages, base board heaters for winter, propane fire place, lovely view. Fully equipped cottages, everything you need in a home away from home . Not too expensive, fish cleaning hut to clean your catch, good docks for your boat, can not say enough about our vacation. Had not been back to Pointe au Baril for 11 years, had not been to Rock Pine Before either. New owners I understand and they do everthing to make your stay a pleasure. Good luck in the future, you should have no problem. Great trip, would recommend it to couples, families or fishing and snow mobile groups.

"If you want to spend an extra $300 per week, go for the penthouse. It's more like an apartment. All the other cabins are basically the same, but cabin 4 has a great view of the bay."
