I was a guest for 2 nights in March 2015 while attending a language conference at nearby Gitwangak First Nation and talk about fantastic! The atmosphere is so laid back and relaxed and I felt really comfortable. The breakfasts are amazing and way more than you expect from a typical B&B. I even had some fresh fruit to go one morning! The fireplace provided a cozy warmth in the evening before retiring to a luxurious bed with great linens and duvets. I stayed in the King room but either of the Queen rooms looked great as well. The view of the mountains is spectacular!! In my opinion, Norm is an excellent host who genuinely cares about his guests. I would highly recommend the Backwoods B&B to anyone coming through the area.

I was a guest of Shery and Norm from 13th to 30th of august 2013.
It was a great time with both, Sheri and Norm, Norm and Sheri as hosts!
Every morning I went from here to a carving apprenticeship conducted by a first nation Artist in a nearby First Nation reserve.
Every morning after a delicious breakfast and interesting chats with Sheri, often with helpful hints...I had good starts into my arts and craftsdays.
Every now and then with good snacks or meals and chats/discussions with Norm and Sheri in some evenings.
Norm even invited me for a cogar visit and a bearsearching carride with an additional rivershore tour.
...always balanced in respect to need of privacy or contact on both sides (I hope :-] ).
They where right! I was living my dream then... and they offered the starting base/backgroud for this good time, always supportive in every question or problem-to-solve I had.
At last we separated feeling like having been together with good friends
....All this still kept in mind as life premium memories! ...as you can see: I write this review in Feb. 15th 2014.
....and I mean it!
