This review is so overdue as I've been back so many times since my first visit over a year ago. So that in itself should tell you to go there.... Since buying a house in the dordogne this is somewhere I visit regularly and I have never left disappointed .. On the contrary in fact .... Andy the head chef...

The hotel was lovely, very remote location but it is stunning to look at. The flowers and general display were beautiful. The pool is heated to a nice temperature, not too hot or cold but perfect for the temperature when we went (August). The room we had was massive, slightly creakey but to be expected from an old building and...

This was now our third stay and it never fails to deliver! The location is great for a quiet break or as a base to see the rest of the dordogne. Great owners, great service and absolutely fantastic food! Will continue to be our first choice for a relaxing break!!

My husband and I met up with our daughter and partner here on our way back north. We had a warm welcome from Andy and his lovely Latvian wife whose name I can't spell. The hotel is really old and full of character and the rooms we had were huge and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the weather didn't let us eat...

Place is amazing such a lovely set up. Rooms are spacious and very clean, it feels private and safe. Food was outstanding and we enjoyed our meals there, wish we stayed longer to try more of the menu. Thank you to Egija and Andy, hosts with a smile and always looking out for your best interest.

Stayed here with family for 4 nights and we really enjoyed our time here. The room was comfortable and very spacious. The food was delicious and the owners were genuinely lovely people who could not do enough for us. They also went out of their way to entertain our children. I literally could not recommend this place highly enough. All...

We visited La Vielle Maison for a night and found the village setting beautiful, the hotel it's self was tasteful and traditional, our room was especially attractive. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was nothing short of delicious, hearty portions and a great selection of food, top class wine to accompany it. The hosts were warm, friendly and...

Our second visit to La Vieille Maison was even better than the first! This hotel has loads of charm, lacking in modern hotels. It was the perfect place to get away from it all, to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Totally idyllic! Our room had amazing views across the countryside and was very spacious and extremely clean. We absolutely...

Andy and Egija are great hosts who made us feel welcome at their property. They are kind and considerate and willing to go extra lengths to make us feel comfortable. The moment we stepped into our room we felt relaxed right away after a long day drive. The property is beautiful with a swimming pool. Décor is pleasant and efficient...
