It was in 2012 when we first stayed at this place. It was too dark at night and we had to use flash lights from the karaoke area going to our room. When we visited last March, there was no noticeable improvement but the place was still good. The sand may not be as white as those in Sta. Fe...

Our bathroom did not have a single hook or place to gang towels. The bathtub did not have a shower curtain or grab rails. The hardware on the sink needs alignment, and we had to ask for a drinking glass. It has no TV or wifi in the room. On the plus side, the AC worked well and the room...

The San Remigio Beach Club is a hidden gem tucked away on the Western shores of Cebu Island about 10km south of San Remigio proper. It is a little difficult to find but it is worth it. The property is VERY clean, even by Western standards. Most things were in excellent condition. Apparently they renovated after Yolanda. The beach has...

I shared a large room with 3 others and slept on a mattress on the floor. The room wasn't the cleanest with ants roaming around freely. The toilet and shower facilities were close together and ants were still running around from outside. Nonetheless, I managed to get some rest. The beach, however, was beautiful at sunset. We walked the shore...

Almost everything is disappointing. Food is very expensive, they don't have a free shuttle to their town which has restaurants....

San Remegio Beach Club would have to be one of my all time worst hotel/resort experiences. There is nothing I can say about this place which is positive which is a shame because you can build on positives. Sadly this resort has not withstood the test of time and everything is either broken or as the staff say "a technical...

By far, the strength of this resort is in the willingness of the staff (most of who are college trainees) to go the extra mile. They were excellent with our two children and they went way over and above what they had to, in order to make them feel welcome. However, we would not return to this resort because there...
