Stunning quality of woodwork, decoration and interiors. It was -2*C outside and yet the room was cosy and absolutely comfortable. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They recommended us a restaurant in Habsheim 6 kms away called la Table de Louis which was another superb place. Excellent bed and linens. This gîtes doesn't have a restaurant but serves the most...

Excellent B&B located near Mulhouse in a small village, result of a very careful refurbishment of an old barn converted in a perfectly furnished 5-room B&B. Modern facilities, exceptional decoration using artwork made by the landlady. Excellent breakfast served by the owners.

We spent 1 night in La maison d’Artgile on our way back home from holiday. From the street the house doesn’t look any special but then you enter the premises… This is a beautifully restored farm with 5 rooms, very nicely decorated, good beds & all very clean. The owners live in the adjacent house and are very friendly &...

We have spent three days. Impressive location - very much a boutique hotel of impressive level. Sauna: The place has a nice sauna which can be used by one couple for your private pleasure. Just tell the owners when you need it and it will be ready for you. Breakfast: very impressive too: nice cheese and bread and marmalade. We...

A nice surprise...we booked this based on Trip Advisor reviews and weren't disappointed. What an interesting place! The lady of the house is an artist/sculptor and we purchased on of her amazing pieces. It was like staying in an art museum!

We love the way the owners updated this old barn with fantastic old wood beams, stone, and design! They devoted alot of attention to detail and it is evident in everything. The sculptures inside and around the property are done personally by the wife Vincente - what amazing talent. Philippe was attentive and helpful in all ways. Upon arrival he...

Very impressive conversion of a large farmhouse barn into a three level B&B with extensive art created by Vincente who creates imaginative and exquisite sculptures. Each room is different and we elected, given a choice, to stay in a cosy unique third floor room over a larger one on the first floor. Besides the lodging, the interior is beautiful and...

We had a fabulous one-night visit (too short!) to Vincente and Philippe's lovely property. We were welcomed warmly by friendly hosts and hot weather and headed straight for the charming outdoor pool, where we were served complimentary drinks. Our room (Georges Braque) was stunning: a tasteful blend of rustic Alsatian farmhouse and pure luxury. The bed is large, mattress firm,...

“our room was a split-level with a stair to the bedroom. Beautiful and charming but as a mature couple it would be better for us to have a same-level bathroom because in the middle of the night we have to make at least one trip to the toilet!”

“Best to come during the day so you can find the entrance. We did not realize there was a buzzer-bell to call the hosts from their adjacent residence, and wasted time because of this. Note also that you should have cash for your payment as cards are not accepted. Finally note that each room and bath are different and unique, so be sure to get a good description before deciding on a room (though all are very nice).”
