My friend and I really enjoyed staying in this place and have fond memories. The surroundings are really nice, but you can tell that it's an older place. It's not fancy, and food is alright - we enjoyed it, nevertheless, and appreciated the proximity to the ruins. Perfect for a short stay.

This hotel could be considered a little basic or primitive, but it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and makes you feel like you are in the jungle. A large pool with palm trees is the centre piece. The rooms have air conditioning, but most the rest of the areas (reception, bar, restaurant) are all outside. Thankfully there are a few...

After a couple of nights staying at budget accommodations, we decided we were ready for some luxury. We shopped around at a couple of high-end hotels but we happy we settled on Chan-Kah Resort. The price is amazingly affordable. They were running a special "shoulder season" price of $77 per night for a Junior Suite. The room is a stand...

We had four days in Chan Kah, which on reflection was a day too long. It is ideally placed for the ruins, which we visited for two days (but that's our thing...). It's easy to get to the ruins, by combi/collectivo that run every 10 minutes. You could get a taxi but why bother? You can also get a combi...

We stayed 2 nights here at the end of April. The welcome was less than warm, we felt we were disturbing the staff. We had to muddle through with my limited Spanish as no one on duty had any English (fair enough) but staff weren't over helpful. It felt rather all inclusive resort at Reception....we had to sign a voucher...

Hello Iam writing this review because I had an amazing stayed last weekend with my family in this resort. We arrived and we realized we were so closed to the pyramids which we found it to die for. The staff in the lobby was very welcoming with amazing welcome cocktails. The man that took us to our room was very...

The hotel is reasonable and some of their people are nice. The rooms are spacious small cabins. They are pretty calm and quiet at night. However, the service is terrible. For example, you have to take your own laundry to reception (terribly hot weather and long distance from your room) . Or you have to go to the reception to...

The employees at Chan-Kah are an insult to the hospitality industry. I assume the property exists to service group tours as the employees hold guests in obvious contempt. I speak a little Spanish but understand a great deal. These people make snide and insulting comments to each other about the guests, stupidly assuming we gringos don't understand. Upon asking to...

Chan Kah is in the middle of the jungle, the rooms are nice, the swimming pool is amazing. So the place is amazing. The only problem is the service: The welcome was very cold... we asked what do they offer for breakfirst for children, just the same than for adults with the same price... Before our departure they wanted to...
