This is kinda a typical hotel for the area. Rooms were clean. Wifii came and went in our room. Restaurant was decent. Major plus, right on the river. While we were there 3 howler monkeys passing through were there. Very cool. It is very crowded on the river on local holidays. Also has a decent pool. River and pool are...

What it lacks in rustic charm is more than made up for in cleanliness & service. The location is lovely by the river (which you can swim in easily) & the pool is good, service is also excellent. Would recommend it highly.

The welcome was rubbish, the room is large but soulless and the TV is unwatchable as it is so high. The restaurant is gloomy and breakfast not included ( though the continental at 65 was OK). Going into town at night is a problem as the vans cant see you to stop. The much vaunted river swimming area looked uninviting...

Although the hotel was a bit remote from Palenque (it was necessary to take two collectivos, one to the main road going to the ruins, and then from the main road in), we loved the grounds surrounding the hotel. We spent 3 nights there, would tour Palenque in the morning, then return to enjoy the pool and the extensive grounds...

This place is not bad, it just isn't great. I was so excited to be visiting Palenque, but this place lacked charm. It made me forget I was actually in one of my favorite places in the world, it could have easily passed as a cheesy hotel in Tijuana. Overall I am not a big fan of hotels, I much...

Restaurante staff wanted to charge 150 pesos (13dollars US) for a corkage fee since we brought our own wine. Dining area completely empty. We always did this in the past, no problem. New capitalistic management?

We had a very mediocre stay at Nututun. We got there real late due to bus issues. So after a long day of traveling, the first room that they put us in had lots of dead ants in the bed. Apparently this is common after getting a lot of rain. So they were going to move us across the hall....

We stayed at Nututun Palenque with our two year old daughter, baby and my parents. We're more used to small independent hotels or hostels, but Nututun had a good deal on that made it cheaper than many smaller establishments. The hotel is a little way away from both Palenque town and the ruins themselves, which means you need a taxi...

We stayed here with a small tour group for one night. It's in a quiet location by a river. Our room was on the second floor and quite spacious. We had no time to use the pool. Breakfast was fine.

While you certainly can spend less money when you visit Palenque, Nututun's lush gardens, lovely pool and riverside location are a welcome treat after climbing pyramids all day. Nututun is on the highway to Agua Azul and Ocosingo (NOT on the road from the city of Palenque to the ruins). The restaurant has a lovely view of the river; food...
