Beautiful large grounds and gardens, nice small pool, reasonable restaurant to eat in with wifi in common area, comfortable bed and clean cabins, good tv and a/c in the rooms. I'd stay there again if I went to Palenque.

We stayed 2 nights recently and loved it here. The grounds are beautiful and the staff very accomidating. Cabanas are not fancy, but are clean and quiet. AC worked great and was definetly needed. The food in the restaurant wasn't the greatest but the cerveza was ice cold. Would definetly stay here again.

Great people, super friendly service, a little pricey for what you get but hey it is Palenque... great location , 30 mins walk to Town, feel like the jungle, cabins should be upgraded, need mosquito nets, get rid of these awful A/C that are too noisy and install a nice ceiling fan, fix the cabins so that there are not...

We intended to stay at Cabanas Safari and actually looked very much forward to our stay over Easter 2014, after securing us a bungalow for 4 nights early September 2013 nearly 8 months before departure. Unfortunately, we have been contacted by the hotel just a few weeks before the upcoming stay, a contradictory e-mail in a horrible English, hard to...

This is a good place to start if you are novice to ecological hotels. Everything is good in this cabanas: peaceful environment , peacocks, hammocks, Internet and breakfast. Interior design was unexpectedly interesting: second floor for the third guest, mosquito net and painted headboard. There was one failure from this hotel: linens of poor quality. I personally think that it...

I had the opportunity to spend four days in the amazing hotel of Hotel Cabanas Safari in Palenque. The place was beautiful and original in its own way, in the middle of the jungle with small cabins for two, biggers are also available though. The cabins were clean, comfortable, with bathrooms, small television, fans to cool yourself down during the humid...

Pet-friendly and awesome service. This place is a bit off-the-beaten path, and getting to it from the main road involves driving for ~100 meters on a rutty dirt road which at times has a fairly steep incline (for perhaps 100 ft at a time). Once beyond that, though, you are in a jungle oasis. The attendant when we were there...

We recently stayed one night at this little place on our way back to Playa Del Carmen. It was our second visit. We actually went out of our way 20 miles to stay here as we had fond memories of our previous stay. We got a different room this time, which was very similar to the room we had before....

Nice, quiet, comfortable rooms with A/C in the middle of a garden with a clean pool and close to the ruins. The people were very friendly, honest and helpful and it was a real pleasure meeting them. You can hear peacocks and birds singing in the morning. Really a nice experience while in Palenque which I hope to repeat some...

Hubby and I stayed here two nights during a trip through Mexico. We chose this hotel primarily due to it being pet friendly. Hotel is out in the "jungle" and has a very jungly feel. The rooms are very basic with a thatch roof, air conditioning, shower etc. There is a screen between the thatch roof and the bed so...

“Sleep quality is a function of how well you sleep with sounds of nature. If bird noises, monkey sounds, etc., keep you up, better bring some ear plugs. Also, bring mosquito repellent--those things will eat you alive.”
