The good: great breakfasts-worth the price; new management staff helpful in arranging taxis & tours; dinners were reasonable and adequate, nothing special; pool was clean and huge; lots of birds around the area; bed was comfortable and linens ok. We were provided with an itemized bill that showed all beverages & meals that we ordered. Not so good: cabana was...

Terrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It offers many things in its add but they're all broken or no longer available. The worst experience we had was the actual manager or supervisor Adriana who seems all sweet in the beginning and then she goes hard sales on you. When you don't play to their tune they're ready and...

We arrived late and owner offered to give us a ride up the road to a restaurant that was open and explained how to get taxi back. We found the owner Oscar and his wife nice and helpful and the breakfast very nice in the nice outdoor setting. (110 pesos didn't seem outrageous for where it was and the quality)...

The place is ok but we had several bad experiences remaining to the owner who is totally in charge... He is not a good host and he was rude to me and another woman that was also staying there. Then he charged us a soap container that felled down in the middle of the night and my husband complained about...

We arrived very late at night after a 10 hour travel day, dripping with sweat and exhausted. However, before being shown to our room, the owner had to painstakingly write our receipt for our entire four day stay - and, he made us pay in full up front- before we even put our bags down!! We had to empty our...

It does get quite humid in the house. Strangely our bed sheet didn't fit the bed, could that be the local custom? Did they run out of clean sheets? It was a sheet which covered barely the bed, you could see the mattress on the sides. As soon as you lay on the bed, your skin came in contact with...

Oscar and his team are really friendly and lovely. The cabanas, gardens, swimming pool area are all really gorgeous. You see and hear all sorts of birds and wildlife, including howler monkeys and parrots. If you love nature and authentic people and places you will love El Colombre. The town and ruins are close and taxis and collectivos are plentiful.

Great place to stay outside the town. Just a few cottages and you are in the middle of the nature. Absolutely beautiful. The owner are very nice and helpful. Great tips to visit new places unknown like Roberto Bario. The cottages are very good. The breakfast is delicious. Amazing place to stay. To go to the town you must get...

El Colombre is definitely great place to stay for your Palenque visit. We stayed here 3 nights and we wished we could stay there longer. We run small B&B ourselves, so when travelling we are looking for similar concepts to ours and know quite well what makes such places not just good, but great! 1. Owners. Karen & Oscar are...
