We were taken to the Inn for a meal on the wet bank holiday Monday. Even though we arrived 30 minutes late the staff and owner welcomed us. We had the steak and ale pie, and what a pie. Obviously home made and I must say the best I've had. A fine balance of flavours and local meat. I would...

Eighteen of us descended on our hosts, Janet and Norman, as it was our 40th wedding anniversary and the birthday one of our sons. We enjoyed an excellent meal - all good home cooked food with meat sourced from local farms. The table was beautifully laid with plenty of space all around for people to come and go - not...

Staff were friendly and helpful, looked after us and our 22 month old girl very well. The food was great, we all had a lovely meal. The pub gardens are good for a walk around at this time of year with so many different types of plants.

My apologies ! My recent comments on the fishcake referred to a meal I had at The Three Horseshoes, Allensmore and not this one at Little Cowarne. I have eaten here several times; the food and service are wonderful.

Came here with some friends after a day in Hereford because it's just down the road from a friends house - it's a lovely little pub, with a good selection of well kept ales, ciders and lagers. Pool table is tucked to one side of the pub and a good looking beer garden. Haven't tried the food but the beer...

I think one of the greatest compliments I can give is that I left with that wonderful Christmas Day afternoon feeling - the one where you are sleepy, content and full! The atmosphere and décor was exactly what I want from a proper country pub, plenty of charm and character, the welcome was warm both from the owners and the...

We had a lovely meal. one night stay and breakfast recently. The food was excellent and with true local Herefordshire flavours and produce. The home made damson and loganberry ice creams were delicious. The owners take great pride in the pub, rightly so, and are great hosts. .

I attended a friends wedding at this lovely Inn last weekend. I have known 'The Shoes' since Janet and Norman bought it years ago and they have worked so hard to create this Herefordshire Oasis. Last weekends wedding was perfectly executed, really good service, excellent food and a room full of uber critical hotelier guests - what a nightmare! Janet...
