Regular business dinner marred by very poor and slow service (forgot the drinks order , tried to charge for them, then never apologised, despite being prompted twice). We were left with empty plates for half an hour. Food was nuked, skin on sauce showed it had been standing, Abysmal. Avoid

We attended a wedding and decided to stop the night before, the room was very small and smelt, no air, no extractor fan in bathroom. We went for a few drinks and a meal the evening before the wedding and the drinks were very over priced. Two vodkas and one pint larger £17.00. We had to wait an hour for...

Met my daughter for a quick lunch pit stop. Surroundings lovely & food good. We only sampled lunch menu but could see meals coming out of the kitchen and they looked nice. Ambience is good for evening dining and may come back and try! Prices aren't bad, free car parking and also has rooms if you need to stay. Ideal...

Recently, we have been to a wedding at the Castle hotel & were offered a lovely meal & treated very well as wedding guests & pub customers. We did find however that the pub prices were a little high & meant we watched our pennies rather than spending more freely in the venue. There also seemed to be only one...

Had an amazing afternoon at the Castle on Tuesday with 3 friends. The staff who waited on us all afternoon were extremely friendly and helpful going out of their way to look after us. The food was spot on and we couldn't have celebrated birthdays in a better place. 🍾🍹🍷🍸

Absolutely excellent experience. The food was wonderful, the service could not be faulted and on top of that the lovely garden to dine in. The choice of food for a lunchtime was as good as we have seen for a long time. Will definitely be back soon

We took some family visitors from the USA out for dinner at The Castle. They were very impressed with the food and service and I was very pleased, as an onion ring lover, to find some really good onion rings. The portion sizes of all the food was good and the service was excellent. The fish in batter was rated...

We went to the bar first before going to the function room. Seated areas for food. We were in the waitresses way though when clearing away, as we were stood near the bar. Not busy for a Saturday night but a few locals in. Gourmet ham egg and chips £12.99 ! Hubby not happy with that price. So we won't...

We have dined at the castle resturant a number of times over the last year, as a couple, as a group of friends and for business lunch. We decided to give the resturant a chance to redeem itself but was not impressed. First of all the good point. The service was excellent, although he was busy the waiter was friendly...
