Stayed longer so much to see around. Great park. Kids playground, games room. Rv sites perfect size, not crambed at all. Owners are wonderful, very pleasant and helpful. Seasonal, daily, cabins. Laundry facilities, pool. Lots of wood for camping. June was perfect , so quite.

We did book last minute but were very disappointed with the site...all kinds of tree roots (tripping hazard) & very unlevel. Didn't use pool as there were tons of kids in it with all kinds of pool toys (large rings, noodles, etc). There was the smell of sewer & found out why when we went to empty our tanks (serviced site). The underground tanks were full & overflowed almost immediately!!!! Couldn't empty til next campground!Quite disgusting to say the least. Would NEVER go there again & would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Lots of old poorly maintained seasonals...just not a nice place overall. Laundry & washrooms were the nicest parts of the park.

We have camped at numerous campgrounds throughout the Atlantic provinces, so we have a very good grasp of what to expect at a campground. Earlier this week we wanted to go to a campground in the Bridgewater area, and wanted something new. We did a little research and noticed a couple positive reviews. So we booked Oakhill Pines for two nights. We know better, and know one of the first rules of reviews is that one has to be careful. The review that called this place a "surprising gem" was half right. Upon arrival it was a surprise. a "gem", not so much. This is an older campground but with a newer pool. The lots are small and the amenities are few. One review talked about how clean the washrooms were. To be fair, must not have found the washrooms. I did find one small building the size of a storage shed that was an "unisex" bathroom. When going on a camping trip, expectations are connected to the purpose of the trip. If we were in a soccer tournament in the Bridgewater area, and needed a campground just to spend the night, then this place may be fine. But this trip was to spend time in the campground with the kids. Clearly this was not going to happen, with such small sites and no activities. Perhaps we had set our expectations too high after visiting campgrounds such as Jelly Stone, South Mountain, etc. As a result of our disappointment, I did something I have never done in my 35 years of camping; we packed up after a few hours and left for another campground. I had to forfeit the fees, but it was worth going somewhere more meeting our expectations.

We asked for wood around 7:30pm as we arrived late. They just said "No" so we had to leave and buy wood at the gas station.
The next day it was raining so hard, you aren't allowed to plug in a hot plate or anything to cook inside so we asked if we could use the BBQ behind the main building to which the worker replied "No" you have to pay to play anything in the Games room.
The sheet under the plastic liner had poop stains on it that we noticed only when we were leaving...
We managed to have fun but we will not go back again and I do not recommend this camping ground.

Beautiful spot.
Came over and camped with my friends. Had a relaxing weekend :) We want to try renting a cabin next time. I left this review on Google as well, but this campground has lots of trees and really private.

Awesome private spot. We stayed another night because we liked it so much. Swimming pool, public facilities all well-maintained. My local friend introduced this place to us and now Im introducing it to all my other friends!

We booked back for our second year but we ended up leaving due to other campers.

We have two children under the age of 8, we were put in campsite 7 (I think). We rolled in and got parked and the camper.tenter on one side of us had their music quite loud (I enjoyed it but it was loud enough we had a hard time hearing while setting up and I was surprised it was allowed where most campgrounds do have a limit).

We were in a pop-up and got setup. The whole time we mostly smelled weed (which is fine, to each their own but we have small kids so what are you to do) Their music lasted until about 10PM. (again, I enjoyed it but the wife, not so much)

During the course of the evening a two person tenter rolled in on the other side. There were signs of heavier drugs being used. They had a party. We heard folks saying they were using the playground to pee on. We heard they were doing needles. They partied with campers on the other side of us another site up.

We lasted the night but chose to leave the next day incase other campers were staying.

On check-out - we advised the situation and we were issued a refund.

In my opinion, the experience we had doesn't properly reflect the campground. It was still well maintained, pool was great, playground was fun for the kids and the owners were just as friendly. (**update - until you write a review online they don't like - then they send you a wordy email indicating how disappointed they were that we wrote a negative review after they provided us a refund)

The site we were in was close to the playground but the sites in that location have no grass, and are pretty much roots and dirt only. We do like a little bit of openness and grass but being able to watch kids on the playground from your site balanced it out.

Based on the fact the we rolled into a site and the campers to the left of us had loud music, the campers on the next lot up from them were friends with the campers that joined us on the right of us, it does appear there should be some sort of guidelines in place to prevent that experience. (how, I don't know)

I do thank the camper to the left of us with the loud music though. At some point when they noticed us take the kids in to put them to bed, one of them commented, "we should probably turn down the music", his comment to them was, "if they don't like the F&*** music, they can go to the KOA". That is exactly what we did and the KOA has been amazing!!! Thank you for your input, you saved our family vacation!

The sites were crammed in and to add insult to your awful site, you have the next trailers sewage on your front door . The fire pit was too close to the trailer so I moved it. None existing WiFi ZERO RANGE. And the staff and owners were unfriendly ! Hated this camp place and .. camping at Walmart would be a better option .

I am giving them a 1 only because the owner was friendly. However if you have any kind of a bigger unit this is not the place for you, way to tight and absolutely no room. Got set up, had no power, was told "System is old, to run our propane and HW heater on propane" to run the AC (We were in middle of a heat wave).. fine...did that.. shut everything off...still kicked out in the middle of the night with only AC on, get up sweating because all windows were closed for AC..go down in the AM, ask nicely, power comes back on.... Wife makes her toast, I am making toast...Poof! No Power again! (We had NO AC on, and a toaster and radio on in the trailer) Beyond frustrating. Also, forget the pool, unless you like getting hit by out of control teenagers.. To the owners, just close it for overnighters and make it for seasonals. Dissapointing is an understatement. Camping at Wal Mart is better than this "Place"

Our first time there. Super friendly and accommodating staff and owners. They promptly assisted with any request we had and tried to ensure we were comfortable. The pool and washrooms are very clean. The pool is also partially heated and was a great treat on hot days. They have a decent gamesroom and well-kept playground for kids too.

The campground does seem to focus on RV camping, but there are some nice, isolated tenting spots for those looking. We had a lot of space and privacy.
